Well I have one but it's still 4 hours away from me :)
A HUGE Thank You to NDT for picking it up for me! I'm certainly glad the maiden voyage went better than the Titanic's.
Shoot just a couple of cans of Fix-a-flat and it'll be good as new :)
As usual, excellent photos all around. Makes me homesick. But I'm cheered up knowing my M1078 is almost to Houston now so I should have it pretty quick.
Got word that the truck is off Ft Polk but things are delayed due to weather and detours. Unfortunately the cargo cover is ripped pretty bad. I was holding out hope that it was just some split seams and I might be able to get it sewn back together. Well if that's the worst news I can easily...
You wouldn't happen to have the AC condenser brackets, would you? I have the compressor brackets and nearly everything else but cannot find the condenser brackets any where.
Pick up time is 1200 tomorrow. Wish I could be there to help pick it up myself but I'm semi-comatose after the 2200 mile round trip to AL and back to deliver the Goat. God Bless TexAndy for agreeing to help with the trip and also to the member that is picking up the M1078 tomorrow. Besides...
Well the Goat is delivered. TexAndy and I made a 2200 mile round trip to AL to deliver it over the weekend. Everything on the trip went fine until it was time to start it to take it off the trailer at the new owner's house and, of course, it wouldn't start. Turned out one of the batteries had...
It was great to get the chance to meet some of you Friday night. My apologies but it was 2300 when we came back through last night and all we wanted to do was find a bed and collapse. Hopefully we can get back next year and actually stay and see everything on Saturday.
Just an aside, we got...

I'm still moving slow. Temple is much more low key with a lot of sitting and BSing versus running around like at Brent's. We'll see how I'm doing when it gets closer.
Better than 2 weeks ago. Thanks for asking. Still pretty weak, tire easily and having to use a cane most of the time. I'm getting closer to where I was pre-treatment but not there yet.
Well with all the rain figured you had the week off :). I should be able to make Mullins next year in style. Of course every time I say I'm coming life gets n the way.
He mentioned that a private company was going to be paying for it. While it would be nice if the Guard could do it I'm sure they're going to be handling maintenance on their own vehicles after this.
Of course the week after I buy my truck in LA one shows up in TX and sells for less. I'm comforted a bit by the fact it's missing a number of items (grille, batteries and box top, cargo bows/cover, spare tire) and it had a forklift driveshaft modification. I think factoring those things in...
Thank you for your help. We've been watching this all play out on the news and praying the rain would slow down. After 5 years of drought it decided to make up for it the last 6 months or so. Good luck with you maintenance.
