Dang! Looks like a rolling hotel! Pretty cool!
I've been trying to figure how I'm going to mine. Your photos really help me visualize what I can do! Thanks!
RE: 5 ton needs to be shipped to Houston TX from Dexter Mich
EZFeed:
Thanks for the info on UShip! That will come in handy, I'm sure! I was quoted about twice that to bring a Deuce 230 miles down from PA recently!
No problem, Bjorn. I figured you were a bit too far away for what I hope is a 30 minute task!
Anyone have any idea how much the van portion weighs (empty) on an M109?
Also, which manual(s) contain the piece-by-piece illustrations/lists of how a truck is put together? I've got the -10s and the...
Assuming that I use 34094 383 Green, 30051 383 Brown, and Black for the exterior 3-color scheme, what color should the interior of my M109A3 cab be? Is it 383 Green, or OD Green? The inside of the van will get the Sea Foam Green treatment.
Just wondering if there is anyone reasonably near Charlottesville VA who has a crane truck. I'd like to lift the van off my M109A3 so that I can clean up the chassis. Might as well do it right, if I'm going to do it!
I suppose I could rent a crane for a day, but that's not nearly as cool! Think...
Eric:
Got any parts for the M109 van? I need a blackout shutter or two, some window handle/latches, and new latches to hold the back doors open (they mount on the truck and the pin on the door snaps into them), among other things.
Thanks!
Thanks for info, guys. I'm at work, and asking the question here was a LOT faster than browsing through the TM!
I've thought about the wisdom of purchasing trailers just for the tires, after pricing replacements!!
Are the wheels/tires on the M105A2 trailer the same as the "standard" wheels/tires on the M35A2 Deuce?
I'll be recovering one in the next week or so (or SO...) and was just thinking that a spare tire would be a wise thing to take along with me.
I know that the Air Force (well, contractors) use "X" to signify an eXperimental aircraft before it has passed all the tests and goes into production, but surely that doesn't apply to trucks like the XM813? What is the basic difference between an XM813 and an M813?
BTW, do you guys have any idea how much TIME you saved me from searching around the internet and calling trailer places?? Thanks again!! I love this group of folks!
I love my truck, too!
Yeah! Yeah, that's it!!
I guess I can measure the height of the pintle on the back of the Deuce tonight to get an idea of how high the hitch needs to be to ride level. But that may be WAY impractical for a POV! I'll likely be using a pretty beefy 4x4 truck, so a riser like you have above should...
No, no picture. But I believe that have identified all the parts. What I want to do is make (or buy) a hitch assembly that I can slide into a Class 3 receiver to be able to tow trailers with the lunette/eye mount. I figure I'll pick up a set of magnetic 12v lights to slap on the back of the...
I want to get an adapter for a standard tow bar to tow an M105A2 trailer. What is the magic name for the clamp device? I've seen some that simply clamp down over an existing ball, sort of.
Thanks!
Howdy howdy!
I live in Greene county, work in Charlotesville. Finally got my first Deuce, and just scored a matching trailer. Shoot me a PM and we'll get together, if you're not too far away!
