Old style combat rims on a trailer

Yeah, I can start working on that now that the truck to pull it is a little more presentable, lol. Didn't wanna pull a trailer with half a truck

Old style combat rims on a trailer

Thanks, nice to be at this point. I was laying in bed this morning when I woke up thinking, wow, my truck is almost completely done, now I won't have an excuse to be out there ALL DAY LONG. Guess that means I need another project.

Thats pretty bad @**. Did you do anything to the trailer tub itself to insulate it? I would think the tub would let some cold in too..??

The Mack Daddy of M101A2 trailer jacks!

I messed with it today, as you can see in my combat rim post, and it seems loose. So it shouldn't be like that?

The Mack Daddy of M101A2 trailer jacks!

Wow, I screwed that post up. But, see how the extension is kicked at an angle? Is that normal? So what is the weight rating? Am I gonna strip the grease in this leg lifting the trailer and combat rim and tire? Im sure its rated for a full load and Im no where near it with this, but just need...

Old style combat rims on a trailer

"Love the contrasting paint too!" Yeah, believe it or not, I found that paint at Michaels. Its called Italian Olive. Kinda appropriate. I painted the side marker clearance light frames and the side reflector frames the same color. Pics to follow of the trailer with new shoes on soon.

Old style combat rims on a trailer

Asked on the Power Wagon forum and already have their response: "If you use 1/2 ton WC rims (split rim) you will have the described problem. Additionally 1/2 ton WC rims are not combat rims.Combat rims are found on 3/4 ton WC trucks. They will work just fine on a WDX and later versions of the...

Old style combat rims on a trailer

I love yours clark, cuz they are all one color and the black nuts and bolts stand out well on that tan. Oh well, they are on the trailer too so it matches the truck, I like em on the 52 trailer, so they are staying on it. And it seems appropriate if they were to be pulled behind Dodges, that...
