Has anyone done any experiments on heat recovery systems with a MEP? I'm considering putting together a HEX setup that would fit on a 80x series and a heat pipe arrangement that could be used on a 80x or 00x series. This could be useful for domestic water heating and/or space heating.

It doesnt need to higher. I ordered the fitting on Amazon and use long fridge icemaker hose for the fuel line. Works like a champ and the materials are diesel safe. And inexpensive.

Oh yea, I have a merit badge in JB Weld. The plan is to use a strip of aluminum stock on the back to bridge the cracks and give it some strength. Overkill I know but thats how it goes with me.

Being on a trailer won't matter. A ground rod isn't mandatory but good to do. As long as you are using a 4 wire cable you will remove the bonding strap at the generator.
