Good to know about Lockbourne. I was going to go there, but got rerouted to OKC, where they were promptly on time.
I just had my package picked up there and it was shipped UPS and arrived yesterday. Cost me $127 total and it was well worth it for the two boxes shipped.
If I ever have to go...
Mine are 7/8"
Not sure of thread.
While at OKC I tagged up with Spartan and he removed my GM 8 lug and mounted a M101 steel wheel and tire and it lowered the trailer another 2-3 " from where the GM wheels lowered it. Made it even more level behind the Silverado pickup., but the wheelwell had an...
Changing out the axle isn't going to help, but it will sure hurt the pocket.
That bed is not economically feasible to repair.
Your best bet is to find someone who might want to make a flat bed out of one and sell off the body to you. That might be difficult.
Even my newer one has a small dent...
If you bog down a 900 series, or any other truck for that matter, you would be well advised to do some digging to preserve the winch or make it easier to pull out.
What's nuts is to try to winch or pull out a heavy truck through a verticle wall of mud, when ten minutes of digging would...
If it's recent, just click on "advanced" search.
Enter the correct event number by selecting in the pull down box.
Enter the correct "Lot Number" by typing in the number.
Click on search at bottom of the page.
This procedure will get you there on a recent auction whether you bid on it or not.
Yes, I know, and I completely believe you. Now look at page 2-18 of the tech manual link I provided in post number 2. They are supposed to be straight lined hookup.
We are not always so fortunate to get them hooked up correctly when we purchase the trailers. I am guessing there is some other...
I know it is on some trailers. No argument.
But according to the tech manual and MV hookup pictorials in it, the right goes to the right, and the left goes to the left. I have seem more of them this way then the other, but have seen both.
Different techniques get different results.
Go to advanced, type in "brake hose", go to forums, type in "cl" (for classifieds), select it and lock it in, then hit search.
(edit: Also, choose threads, rather then posts)
You get 140 results in classifieds.
Do the same thing with "Brake + hose"...
I can't get to mine right now as the rain outside makes it somewhat prohibitive. I was just wondering if your M923 lines might be crossed, a possibility that became a reality to me with one of my deuces. I'm sure you can figure out how to test that end of it. Normally, right line goes to right...
PopPop, did you ever imagine when you first purchased this it would be so involved and look so good. This is just an amazing job and I am so envious. I cannot imagine you selling vegetables off the back without having tons of customers line up just to see it. What a fantastic job and I have so...
These are predominantly intended for use as off road tires. They leak a lot. If they leak down far enough, the runflats take over and will damage the tire. You might not know this without inspecting from the inside. That's why you see about a million tons of them at GL in the scrapyards. The...
I cannot answer all your questions, but some.
The surge brakes on the M1101/1102 are high failure items.
The tires can be switched out with civilian GMC 8 lug off a 2500 or 3500 pickup.
It will lower the back end 2.5" in doing so. Not much, but every bit helps and braking will become easier when...
Most do it yourselfers, just weld a lug bolt to the cargo bed above the Aframe, and use the lug nut to hold it down.
Tire weight sits on the Aframe ajoining the cargo bed. The lug bolt and nut are just to secure it upright, not to support the weight.
This way, it does not obstruct your side...
