Thanks for all the help fellas. It's now Monday evening and no call from the estate sale telling me to pick up my radio. All I can assume is that someone else felt it was worth more than my $50 bid.
Thanks fellas, I haven't heard from the estate sale yet. I offered $50 if it didn't sell. From what you guys are saying the Dr. Frankenstein rebirth shouldn't be to bad or overly expensive. I was originally looking for a transceiver for my Deuce. This may not be the one for that application but...
That's what I was wondering. There where a few old tubes in a box in front of the radio (reference pick) but I have no clue if there still good or if there even for this set.
I found this old signal corps radio at an estate sale here in TX. I'm just wondering if anyone has any info or can offer any suggestions on the set. I dug around some and couldn't find much. It says Radio Receiver BC-358-L
They where asking $200 for it but had no clue if it even worked. Is it...
I second the Deuce mudguard idea. The long flaps designed for the fuel tank are over engineered and would be perfect. You would just have to flip the one on the drivers side end for end and re-drill.
I feel ya Woodsplinter. I've never been to Phoenix but I was born in Las Vegas, NV. With the install of the A/C unit are you going to insulate your roof and door cavity's as well. If so I would love to hear your thoughts/suggestions/picks. I am going to be looking at insulation myself. Only I an...
Thanks islandguydon, That's what I was wondering. I will do the required research on this Fatmat/Dynamat. Are they the same product with just different names or are they two separate products. If they are different which one would you suggest.
Another one of the treatments I was considering...
Just playing Devils advocate here fellas . Has any one considered the effects of moisture on any of these products/adhesives. I for one know that my rig can leek a bit of H2o into the cab and cab floor while I'm flying down the interstate at a blistering 52.5 mph or when it's just sitting...
I second installing any insulation to allow access to your master. I inspection my master both before and after PMCS.
jersyjeep2003 Please let me know how the install goes with the duct insulation. I had the same idea. Would love some B/A picks if you can. Thanks.
I completely agree. The only reason I buy it commercially is that they sell it at 100% strength. (Not already mixed) This way I can fill up a few cans and mix it myself if I can't find a station that sells bio. It may be "as much or MORE" in the Pacific Northwest but here in TX Bio is .33 a...
In my internet wondering for bio-diesel and distributors I found a cool new website.
Biodiesel Stations | OVER 1500 BIODIESEL LOCATIONS IN THE US
The site will search by state, city or zip to find distributors in your local area for the bio-diesel. The search gives distance from you...
I wonder what's on the inside and if the turret actually functions. It looks like there is some kind of generator in the box where spare tire should be. And to be honest I'm kinda diggin the rear view mirror mod.
Got it.. I had to much other crap open on my pc. I closed everything and the TM loaded right up. Thanks for the help and sorry for the drama. Boy do I feel like a boot. I still have a question about this dial indicator needed for the end play test. Do I need one or can I make one or how do I...
