I was attached as an engineer to a unit in El Paso. We where there to repair and improve the Border Patrols weapons ranges and the access roads on the levy and along the border. While we where there we also had the job of welding repairs to the fence along the levy. There where so many hols...
You could always post this sign on you MV to discourage fuel thief's and other hoodlums. It may not stop them but it would at least give them a minute of pause.
Totally understand Machinist. My better half is out of town. That is the ONLY reason I was able to go last weekend. The folks at msp ran the show in Waxahachie as well. They are a great bunch. Looks like we entered the same class and took the "W" for MV's everywhere. That was one of my dilemmas...
Fore sure wallew, I'll se ya at the air show in Mesquite. Hopefully it will be a better turnout than just me again. Tell the other fellas not to worry if they show up. I don't think they will be giving out trophies at the air show. :not worthy:
How'd I know you where gonna ask me about the MVCC sign;-). The sign was on the chair on the drivers side of the truck. It got put up before pick was taken.
Atomic, Sorry about the Daytona answer for the Shelby. That's what I thought he told me. I could be very wrong. I obviously know squat...
I would have loved to see the look on the muscle car owners face:?......
It wasn't a suggestion box it was a donation box. Long story short I medically retired from the Army in 2009 because I blew up my shoulder in 2007 and spent the next two years in the Wounded Warrior Program on Ft...
Just a quick heads up. I am heading down to the South Austin Area from my house here in South Dallas on Saturday early morning 19 May 2012.
I am driving Bluedeuce down to pick up some parts for her from a SS friend. If anyone at either end or along the route needs any free shipping that I can...
I made contact with the management of the trade show and he has this car show twice a year. The next one is Oct 14. I talked to him about a third yearly show at this location. A show for MV's only. He was super excited about the Idea. I also talked to the company that sponsored an ran this show...
Well fellas, looks like we can score one for Bluedeuce and Steel Soldiers everywhere. I took Bluedeuce to a local car show this afternoon and she did quite well. There where about forty other entry's in the show and about ten of them where in my class. (Special interest vehicle)
I didn't win...
That's a nice fab job. I think I've been in Texas to long. As I was opening up each pick I half expected the last pick to show the lid raised to reveal the BBQ grill.
In my web wondering I have come across several members beneficial web sites. Example: mvdadaplates.com Is there a certian scetion where these gem's are to be posted or do you just start a new thread with "look what I found" type thing. I looked through the regulations and didn't see anything to...
I'm looking to mount an SKS with standard stock and scope. I also have a Mossberg 500c 20ga with an 18in barrel. Not looking to carry them around all the time I just want to have a secure yet accessible place for bug out purposes only.
Quick question to anyone with installed rifle mounts. I know the standard mount is designed to accept the barrel and but of the standard M16 style weapon. Does anyone know if you can securely mount lets say a 12ga or 20ga shot gun into the same mount with out modifications.
Awesome thread.
What type of time frame are you looking at. I am in Dallas now but will be moving to Castle Rock. I will be taking my Deuce with me so I could bring it to you. The only problem is I won't be making the trip for another few months. I could go get it now and bring it up with me. Just an option if...
I be there on the 12th. Just please be advised that Blue Deuce is no longer Blue. You can see the transformation on the militaryvehiclescollectorsclub.com
Let me know as soon as you have details. The when and where.
I'd like to attend with my AM General M35a2c. I'm just down the road in Red Oak, TX so fuel shouldn't be a problem for me. Just let me know when you bang out the details.
I agree with derby. You poured the unfiltered wmo in the tank, gave her a full crank case of new oil/Lucas, new filters and then sent her on a few hundred mile road trip with out allowing her time to get used to the new oil/Lucas/filters. She probably went into a bit of shock. The issue may be...
