One more detail and shes DONE!!

The entire trailer was blasted to bare metal at different stages, frame primed and painted with POR15, then the bed painted with....actually i dont know what paint he used. But he used the color chip I had for the original submarine green from the 48 Dodge Power Wagon

1952 M101 Linn Coach and Truck Division USA I currently pull it with my Dodge Dakota 4x4 Quad Cab. I will eventually pull it with the 48 Power Wagon when I finish it. I have the bows and the green rubberized type cover, boarding ladder for use during camping.

One more detail and shes DONE!!

Well I picked up my M101 from thee paint shop the other day. I like the color, Im glad I got to see it on something before I get my 48 Power Wagon painted the same color. I like it. One detail left to do. I asked the paint shop to recreate the tailgate stencil. I guess I wasnt clear enough...

    M101 underbed spare mount?

Also depends on if you want to use it for dumping or not. If you dont, you might be able to use the cable style spare mounting, towards the front of the axle, near the frame pivot. Theres a very long thread on using one of the spare tires cables from a pick up truck found at a junk yard...

    New M101 build

I think he was selling em for like $150 or so, plus shipping. Pretty sturdy. I looked for his classified ad, but I think it either expired or he took it off, guess no one wanted em. If your interested, let me know and I'll get ahold of him for ya, hes a regular on the Power Wagon forum I'm on...

    Making a m101a2 dump

The brake lines aren't a problem on my 101, the cables for the brakes go up with the box. But with the electrical box on the front of the box, I did hafta make some modifications to the spare tire carrier I mounted on front. And the electrical cable has to be removed from the junction box...

    Data plate restoration

I compared mvdataplates.com to mine, and they arent the same. Mine seems to be older than the style he has. I emailed him to see if they can restore mine. The corrosion is on the front, not the back, so I dont its a reaction.. Nick

    Data plate restoration

I checked the simiar thread listing, and I noticed its been said before to just get new data plates instead of trying to repaint older ones. Mine is still legible, but its got some serious what looks and seems like hard water, or calcium on it. The problem is, no one has just plain M101 plates...

    1952 M101 clearance lights

Thats exactly my thoughts, although this trailer had nothing original on it when I got it. So I guess you can say I'm goin "modern original". New 6 circut trailer wire harness, and the lights ya can see in my pics in my album. Nick

    1952 M101 clearance lights

The lights have pictured above will fit perfect width wise on the bottom rail. I didnt think about makin a plate to mount em under the rail. An option, but I like the look of em on the rail. I did consider shearin em off, but I dont forsee myself doin that kinda stuff with it that they...

    1952 M101 clearance lights

    1952 M101 clearance lights

I appreciate the answers. Cuz to be honest I didnt know when the two light thing started. I didnt know the 50's were still single lights. I have thought of the single light stuff, but with drivers like they are today, Im goin with two brake/running lights and two turn signals. Not so much for...

    1952 M101 clearance lights

Thanks. Got different brake lights and arrow turn signals to match the truck, so Im different there, but wasnt sure if I'd get dinged from cops for no clearance lights. Thanks

    1952 M101 clearance lights

Did 50's era trailers have side clearance marker lights? Ive been thinking of whether I wanna put the typical truck trailer side markers on or not. I dont think it would be original, but whatta ya all think?? Guess it also depends on if I can get the buld for em in 6volt, or someday convert the...
