Buy short pieces then use a set of split bolts sized to join #10 to #6. You'll want to install a box with a 30a breaker between the generator and the #10 cable or reset the trip on the generator breaker for 30a.

The lugs are too large for 10 gauge. Based on the output of the generator you need to run at least 6 gauge. The 6 gauge wire I ran between the lugs and the outlet tightened up just fine.
