You drove it? No wonder they only wanted you there 20 minutes:-P If Marcus was there you would not have moved that truck at all. Driving them is a big no no if you don't have an EUC.
I had to borrow one a couple of weeks ago to jump start another and they were not real happy about it. I got...
I think I would avoid doing business with this guy, the AWD means older model T-Case. Probably "fully Restored" means he put a 200.00 maco paint job on it:roll:
look for private sale from somebody who is not in the surplus business, you will get more truck for you money that way.
If by bumped you mean you rolled it with another truck and then it started going, I would guess that it has a dead spot in a gear in the transmission or T-Case.
This truck sounds like a basket case to me. I would avoid it. Anything from a dealer at that price must have something major wrong...
I think it is just a 30 KW generator, nothing special.
I bid on the 109 at Richmond but only so I could see the bid history on it after it closed. Almost made the biggest mistake of my life on it though, I went to click the confirm bid and noticed I had entered 12,041.... That was close.
The mps out there have been very nice to me. I am surprised that they only let you have 20 minutes. Maybe GL has fussed about them letting people view trucks without appointments.
I am not surprised about the shackles, mine vanished too (I even took mine off and placed them under the seat) and...
DOD put out this report in 1967 that is now housed in the Library of Congress. Interesting note that the multi-fuel in both the 5 ton and 2.5 ton was reported to have a life expectancy of 10 000 miles. Was the multifuel turbo charged in 67?
Yes I should not have jumped off on this one. Comparing a farm tractor to a deuce is also pretty bogus. I am still interested what the torque rating is for his diesel tractor though and would love to see a you tube of it pulling stumps or powering six wheels.
look at the weight differences...
Okay a couple of more points. First just because a military entity did it does not mean it is right. I am thinking of GIs with a jeep in a paper glider and then there was that rocket pack strapped to a guys back that they tried once:wink:
Secondly pull your specs on that tractor, or tell me...
haha, my evil plan to change the arguing topic worked.
Actually my logic is as follows:
Jeep Cherokee with 4.0 = 3000 lbs, 4 tires on ground, torque 300 ft lbs, hp 247. (numbers are not exact)
If somebody wants to build a trail rig with a Cherokee they usually will add lockers and replace the...
LOL: I know what you mean. NHdiesel left here with in a deuce last week for a 1100 mile run and I heard back from him 3 days later. That is a trip I do in the car in 16 hrs.
One word of advice that probably should not be coming from me because I always forget to put down the wheel chock; but...
That would make me the deuce alpha male as I understand that a deuce does not have enough power to make lockers real effective and don't waste my time discussing them:-P I just waste my time reading what you guys have to say about it:wink:
Well if you are like I was in college than "time and energy" means parties and beer. Cut those two things and maybe women and you have excess money and still can pull good grades while playing with a big truck:-P
Just let me know if you need my assistance. I am not 90 miles in the wrong direction so that is a plus side when paying trucking fees:-D
The easiest way for me to go about it would be for me to schedule the loadout and then the trucking can be scheduled once I have it back to my place. I am...
