    DANGER towing 2 105s in-line DANGER

Glad you made it back safe! I have heard many times that double towing short trailers is a no-no. Longer ones seem to work a lot better. Did you have the option to stack them when you picked them up?

    super single wheels and tires

That is one of most idiotic comments I have seen on here in a long time. :cookoo:

    super single wheels and tires

15.5s or 395s can rub the underside of the bed on a deuce if you carry enough weight and flex it out enough. I know, I have done it. For most applications you should not have a problem.

Exceeding Manufacturer's Speed Rating on 15.50r20 Tires

To my knowledge the most common miltary use for the is the m1076 trailer. I believe the max speed for the pls is 56mph so I would feel really comfortable up to or about that speed. I think michelin rates them for about that speed too. Above that speed, I would rather be on radials than old...

Exceeding Manufacturer's Speed Rating on 15.50r20 Tires

They are only 46.6" tall, same as 395-85r20.

Exceeding Manufacturer's Speed Rating on 15.50r20 Tires

Many guys run 15.5s on their deuce, myself included. I just haven't driven it for extended distances at high speeds.

    Is this gage common

That is a tachograph, common on M818 and larger trucks too

    Singling my deuce... with Firestones??

Those firestones look great, but I would expect a difference of 5/8" - 1" as well. From the comparison pic, it does look like there is more visible space between the bumper and the axles. A tape measure would tell us for sure how much bigger the firestones are!

    super single wheels and tires

15.5R20 is the largest tire that will fit (of those that are found in reasonable quantities as surplus in the US)

    super single wheels and tires

I have never seen 14R20 on a stock deuce. 14.5R20 will work though.

    Huge project! M-813-a1-x

I'll give my input. 1. I think the 16 speed cat tranny is really cool. I would use it if you can. 2. The M919 chassis is rated for 75,000 GVW so it will handle the weight a lot better than a 5 ton. Would you use the 5 ton cab or the M919? 3. A low range transfer is not needed as the...

Toy hauler or travel trailer towing with an A2?

I would stay away from trying to get the Porsche in the duece. You will be better off with a trailer. There was some recent discussion on toy haulers. Check out this post: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/conversations/32129-question-about-m911.html#post344748
