Won my first GL auction M1008 (FT Lewis)

I didn't see any HETS in the background. ;-)

2009 AROKMOTXKS Spring Rally May 15-17 at D-Day park

No problem. I edited my previous post to eliminate the potential for any confusion. :-D

Jason, I sent you a PM about the rally. When you get a chance, please review it and respond. Thanks!

    5-ton Detroit lockers needed badly!!

I've got two new ones on the shelf if you need some in a hurry.

    GL ads are back

Isn't the site's policy to suppress discussions on upcoming auctions a form of buyer collusion? After all, if the intent is to "keep prices low" then that is illegal. I would prefer open discussions on everything and high bid wins, like it should be.

    M818 recovery questions.

Jeff, depending on your what your tag vehicle is, you might want to consider fabbing up some mudflaps for the M818. I know a quarter size rock took out my headlight in my M1009 once.

    Fox owners, check in

I helped Bow-Man pick up his Fox last year. It is sweet.

    It's unfair

If you got it for "a song", then I don't understand why you would need to sell it. It is not like you have a lot of $$$ tied up in it. Tell you wife to sell some of her shoes or something! Selling off MVs for cash flow purposes should come as a last resort. :-D

    M919 concrete truck pics

Wow, that truck looks sharp! Not sure about those white wheels, though. Did you ever consider black wheels? Here are some pics of my M919. The mixer was pulled off to make way for a 2500 gallon M978 tank to haul water. New paint is forthcoming.

    Safe Tire Size

Ok, that makes more sense. I would evaluate what road speed you wish to operate at and then work with one of the online calcuators to find the best option for your intended application. The stock gears and stock tires are fine in both the M1008 and M1009 for their intended use. Your intended...

    Safe Tire Size

I think the safest tire size would be the stock size.

    M919 gear ratio?

Axles are 6.17:1, single speed, 75000 GVW, true air brakes

Source for XL super single tires?

    What size are you looking for? 11R20, 12.5R20, 14.5R20, 15.5R20, 14R20, 16R20?

    5 or 7.5 ton Flatbed

Oh yeah, the M345 is too cool! One of my biggest regrets is not buying one when I had the chance.

    2009 AROKMOTXKS Spring Rally??

I would like to go, depending on the date. We can try and get a convoy up from OKC.

    anyone know about the 1961e1???

The issue is not that it would be top heavy. The deck height will cause serious challenges in getting vehicles loaded and unloaded. The trailer is overkill for the deuce (or the car you load on it).

    anyone know about the 1961e1???

The 5 ton flatbed trailers are not going to be suitable as a car hauler. Too heavy and too high (like most military trailers). You probably should be looking for a civilian car hauler trailer.

    Some of my collection

Yes, outstanding work! I would love to have a nice model like that M1074 to sit on my desk and appreciate all through the work day (truck looks to be M1075 though, not M1074).

    M818's Norman OK sale3973

Several of us looked those trucks over today. Tackettr had some good notes and might be able to help you. Unless this is one with oil in the radiator, I expect you could jump it and be on your way.

    Problem with 15.5 80 20 on 20x11 wheel

Are the wheels designed for MPT tires or the standard bead tires? That could be the problem.
