    Replacement transmission problem

If I could find someone around here to do it for $400 that would be a good deal. I got my other one done for $650 6 month warantee and 3rd gear went bad about month 7. I am not sure what I want to do yet, this was my spare so maybe i can take my 2 bad ones and make 1 good one. I am a jobless...

    Replacement transmission problem

The pickup tube was still connected to the filter and I made sure it's on there good. That didn't fix it though. Any other ideas? Or is this one just worn out? If it acted like this first, I would just say it's dead but since it worked great before sitting over night I don't know.

    Replacement transmission problem

So I replaced my TH400 with a cucv TH400 and it went well. Last night I drove it around about 5 miles and it shifted great through all gears smoothly and did not slip at all. It sat over night and now it slips in the forward gears. In drive, I can't feel it engage but I can in 2 and 1 but it...

    Johnston IA preview 3/17

Dan is right. I might go look at them sometime if there is a specific one you are looking at I can get some pictures if you want. You can go out and look at them whenever really but I think he has good info on the trucks on preview day.

    run ins with law enforcement

The suburban police around here will pull you over for anything now. The will give you a ticket too no warnings. I think they are out of money. I need to get my plate light on...

    Show me your civilianized M1009s

I think I could have adapted them to use the cucv seat mounts, but they were more narrow than the mustang seats and I couldn't figue out how to make the tracks work. I measured the angles and height to get it perfect for me with extra leg room. This way they still adjust on the mustang tracks...

    Deuce tires on the CUCV???

I set a 9x20 up to my m1009 with 33s. It's pretty big. I knew this picture would come in handy one day.

    Rear bucket seats

I need that. What would not comply with fmvss? As far as seat belts go, I do not need them for passengers in the rear seat over 10 years old in my state. I think I could mount the seats as strong or stronger than the bench seat. I would have a lap belt too.

    What variant is this?

That is interesting, I have not heard of a compressor truck. I definately need to go look at it now. I will check for pto, data plates and see what the unit is on the bed. Would anybody be interested in parts from it or the whole thing? I will ask them about it. It has been in the same spot...

    What variant is this?

I wondered about those air tanks. The hood was frozen so i could not see for sure on the exhaust. I wish I had a picture of the other side. It has some unit on the back that I assumed was military equipment but maybe not. It had several gages for something. I will be looking over it again for...

    What variant is this?

What model is this deuce? I am pretty sure it's a gasser but i couldn't get the hood open and the data plates are in bad shape. Its been in a junkyard for a while and I can't figure it out.

    Rear bucket seats

Has anyone put bucket seats in the rear of a m1009? Or any blazer? I haven't found one yet even on a civilian k5. Is there a good reason why nobody has done it? If you have thought about it, how would you do it? I have 2 sets of m1009 seats and free time.

    Show me your civilianized M1009s

I put new seats in mine. Not exactly stock but very comfortable. Now I have my eye on some in a jeep commander that are leather and almost stock color. These are from a 2007 mustang.

    Trans Slipping in 3rd

Update: After putting a new vacuum pump in, I realize that it is not slipping in 3rd but shifting down to 2nd. At highway speeds it will want to drop to second with any gas but when you let off it shifts back. It also does it when going slow not and is more noticeable now that my shift...

    TH400 problem

My m1009 is doing something similar. Does the 1-2 shift get softer when it warms up also? Mine has a bad vacuum pump that I will replace when I get around to it. If that fixes it I'll let you know. I will have to try the pickup tube thing next.
