OK, thanks. Are the stock differentials "unlimited slip"? So if some wheels have no traction, they will spin freely and the truck would not move at all?
OK, thanks for the explanation. I think that I understand now. I have a habit of driving to try to brake as gently and as rarely as possible. Just a weird habit. Maybe it would also help. And I also hate those people who pull in front of heavy vehicles and slam the brakes.
That item strikes me as something unlikely to be stolen, because it has no scrap value and it is hard to store, describe properly for selling, resell, and ship. I am wondering if, perhaps, something else happened and it was not stolen?
I have not seen a lot of videos of M939 trucks in serious mud, or hills, I was hoping that we would see more of them. I did enjoy the rally videos, though. Thanks for posting them.
OK, just to be sure, these are lockouts for the "middle axle"? Right?
And what are the biggest maintenance cost expenses, in your experience?
I have a M927 and M931A2 and I do want to use them commercially in my industrial surplus/metal scrapping business. I already registered the M927...
I buy and sell stuff, and I come across 11R22.5's all the time. I have 12 such tires, like brand new, from two Chicago CTA salter trucks that I bought and scrapped. They cost me nothing.
I own a civilian dump truck (GMC TopKick), it has a 14 foot long bed. It is a great truck and we mostly use it to haul scrap metal. I would seriously consider adding a M929, if not for its short 10 foot bed, it is a bit too short for my needs.
Hi, what did you need to do to your truck to pass DOT inspection? Extra lights? Did you have a problem inspecting wedge brakes?
I will need to pass DOT inspection too with my M927 and M931A2.
