    Finally got an MKT-75A

The first couple of items you were wondering about are: 1) the one with little chains on it is to hang in the ovens for baking purposes 2) the one with the oblong cut outs is to sit in a pan of hot water and hold the inserts from mermite cans to keep them warm

1968 amg m35a2 m66 gun ring install help

If you want a cab reinforcement plate they are available in the classified section. I don't imagine there would be an issue shipping to Canada other than the price.

    M66 installed on M35 pics.

It would be informative if someone would show a step-by-step install of the reinforcement plates. Mostly all you hear or see is "lots of drilling." The OPs demonstration of the "fork trick" was good information.

    Yet another texan

Welcome from another San Antonian (well, general area any way). Lots of happenings in the area to attend. The big ta-do will be at Camp Mabry in April but there's also lots in San Antonio itself. You have a very unique MV so I'm sure it will be a hit once you've got it going.

    Working on the MKT

Well keith_J was out today and we started on the Modification Work Order (MWO). We got most of the holes drilled and ran the cable from the ovens back to where the ac invertor will mount. Unfortunately we ran in to a snag early on. I laid the cables out to check placement when I realized I was...

Possible 1010 project in the making

The M1010 was simply a 1 ton cab/chasis that the ambulance body was added to so yes you can use a regular one. You'll need to remove the rear window of course then cut the cab back for the walk thru door. I'm not sure about reinforcing the cab after the cut or how you'll seal the area between...

    VIC-1 Install

Sorry to show my ignorance but what's a "bail out cable?"

    M1009 side windows

If you're looking for solid windows I believe Warthog had some new ones still in the wrapper a while back.

Now your list is complete. Oh, except for a winch. Want to trade a water buffalo for one?

Unfortunately he seems to be out of most stuff at the moment. I just tried him.

    Working on the MKT

I know that thtrev2001 has 1 or 2 griddles for sale but the shipping might be cost prohibitive unless you can utilize the SS Express. I have 3 (2 on trailer and 1 spare) of which one is warped a bit. I wonder if they had someone throw cold water on the hot griddle. Not sure if that'd be enough...

    Working on the MKT

I removed the center bracket on my trailer and put my license plate there. While the other reasons for removing them are valid I'm kind of stubborn about things and like the look of the trailer with a couple of cans on it (plus I already have the rear travel cover). Makes it look more authentic.

    Working on the MKT

If you're not pulling it with a deuce the new axle and electric brakes will be nice. I've pulled mine a couple times with my F250 and it pulled great and stopped well too but I was always concerned about it (of course it wasn't like I was pulling a gooseneck with a dump truck on it or...

    Vic 1 Radio Power

Actually price is $69.95 (+ $12 shipping). OUCH! I've found Columbia Electronics tends to be at the upper end of the price range but it is a new cable. I think I'll save that as a last resort if I can't get the GRC cable cheaper. EDIT: Mr. Haney has nothing. I found a CX-10071 for $45...

    Working on the MKT

Not much happening on the unit over the winter but I did pick up some more goodies for it this weekend. The first picture is of the inside of the ice chest. I got the plastic tray that goes on the bottom to keep things up off the floor and the metal divider that'll seperate the ice from what...

    Vic 1 Radio Power

He may be talking about the actual one for the MX-7777 since they appear to be as rare as hens teeth. And thanks for the plug. Your commission is in the mail

    Vic 1 Radio Power

Where did you find one? The usual places I've checked all say they're out.

    Vic 1 Radio Power

The correct cable is a CX-10613 power cable (battery to MX-7777). The one wsucougarx used is modified from a GRC-106. It has the same plug end as the 10613 and you just change the end the hooks to the battery. EDIT: Mike you and I must have been typing at the same time. Mine is a MX-7777A...
