Why is it every time I got to the Lone Star site the "featured" vehicle is one of yours? Who are you bribing? Of course the one they have for me under "Member Vehicles" isn't mine any more.
Welcome! You missed a chance at a M1010 CUCV ambulance by about 6 weeks. I sold mine to a museum in Iowa just before Thanksgiving.
There's a big Steel Soldiers contingent in the Austin area including members of the Austin PD. The Lonestar MVPA also meets monthly at the Camp Mabry Museum...
Sometimes you have to take a chance with the ones that look a little rougher. I just picked up a MEP002 that was missing the filter canisters (Thanks Jerry!) and the fuel pumps were hanging loose. I replaced the missing pieces, tightened up the pumps, new filters/oil, and it fired right up. I...
I can't help you locate original channels but I would suggest going with a different material for doing it. With the panels and channels both being aluminium they have a tendency to corrode together and then good luck getting them apart. One thing I did was wax the edges of the panels real...
I like the "no posting" rule but think that your idea would be going a bit too far. What I say in a PM to another member, who is mostly likely a fairly close friend, is really no ones buisness. While I don't hold any misperceptions about confidentiality I can't imagine the mods going through...
I just use the Safari web browser on my iphone and have never had any problems at all. Of course I've never tried uploading any pictures from it as I've never had a need and can't imagine being at HD and have an "I need to upload a picture" emergency (not to say it CAN'T happen it just hasn't)...
I was at Ft Sam Monday picking up a MEP0002 and this is the first time I've ever seen any HMMWVs on the DRMO lot. They had about 2 dozen sitting there.
For those wondering about the JLTVs mentioned in the article here are a few of the prototypes the bids brought in:
Check the size of the bleeder on your new wheel cylinders. I replaced one new one and found out after it was on that the bleeder was metric (Chinese made) so now I have 1 oddball bleeder that takes a different size wrench than all the rest.
You can probably rebuild the old wheel cylinders...
I have a 600 gallon pod in my 105A3. The widest portion is above the rail line but even if it weren't it would still fit between the sides as long as it was centered. Unfortunately I have no idea how much wider the low profile tanks are.
My tank is baffled but I have no intention of driving...
If it's registered as a FMV (yes you can do a trailer that way) then no inspection required. That's how I have the MKT set up. Of course then you're limited with what you can do with it.
Sitting outside for however many years at DRMO then GL doesn't help. At least mine was sitting outside at Ft Bliss so is just bleached out. It's on a trailer with, what appears to be, a M105 cover over it now. It sat next to my shop for months with no issue until we got a big wind storm last...
Welcome from Spring Branch! I'm about 40 miles north of downtown S.A. If you need any help let me know. I'm not an expert but I can BS like I am one any day of the week.
