Your exhaust is not "Haspin proof", we tend to bend the steps. If you off road it, be careful of high centering.
I picked up a NOS distributor at a swap meet and swapped the internals with the reo dist. The one I picked up was the wrong rotation, but parts swapped just fine.
Any of the typical MV dealers will have the parts. White owl, saturn surplus, memphis, eastern, or boyle.
I'd be worried about the oily film on the turbo, sounds like a bad seal in the turbo is allowing oil to be sucked in. That would cause some smoke.
If the fuel was turned up enough to cause that smoke, it would run like a scalded dog. When tuning the fuel rate I got it too high at one point...
We (Gimp and I) have some of them. Thinking of repowering the boom lift, it currently has a propane wisconsin V-4 in it, that uses oil and propane quite well.
