The problem with doing it the way you did is that some kids playing in the truck can leave the lights or ignition switch on and kill your batteries...I installed my ignition switch in the number 10 wire coming from the starter relay to the ignition switch ..this way when i turn the power off it...
You dont have to run the pivot pin through the frame it can go behind the frame.i run a 12 volt pump on 24 volts works great.Been running mine like that for like 7 years..Make sure you run 24 volt relays..i used a starter relay from a deuce..My scissors setup forced me to raise the bed 3/4 of...
i can build and sell em for 150-175 .I will get an idea on shipping not sure if they would go ups or fed ex .I think they would just the size is the question
Ya pins were in the original plan i just got backed up and wanted to actually get it on the truck..i'm gonna make brackets to use pins when the weather gets nice and i get all the other projects done...i already got the tube to make the pin brackets just need to do it:roll:if anyone else wants...
I have a set of large feet for the medium heavy tow bar i would let go really cheap.they have 1 1/8 pin on the tow bar side and 1 1/2 on the side that hooks to the truck.pm me if you are interested
i was pulling it to put in a front axle for my friend.i'm emptying out a housing to put back in the hole..i dont need the extra resistance of having the axles and diffs intact on the trailer.Gimpy it worked really nice .simple safe and fast...i say go for it you can always remove the axles and...
while working on my new trailer i made i needed to find an easy way to remove the rear diffs without removing the whole axle..This is what i came up with it worked great..I ran a thick peice of angle iron on top of the bed frame rails from side to side. Then attached the snatch block of my come...
After getting stuck several times due to my fixed hitch hanging to low i wanted to make it removable but still be able to pull 10000lbs safely. So this what i came up with.It is 2.5x2.5id 1/4wall tube for for the reciever-up tube and 2x2id 1/4wall tube that runs side to side. The pieces that run...
As gimp said i have a dump setup now.I am gonna run 6inch angle iron the length of the bed and a winch to pull it up with rollers at the back then it will just pin into place .the only mods to the bed will be notching the front out to clear the dump framework and atttaching a place for the cable...
I've been parting out a m35a2c.Didn't feel like scrapping the frame so i decided to make a trailer out of it ..this is just the beginning of it.In the end it will have a m109 box installed backwards so the doors are to the front ..Where the gas tank was will be my generator. Fuel tank will be...
the hose routing bill w has is the correct routing . .i'm gonna move my heater to under the glove box.I just don't like how hard it is to get at the fuel filters with it in the factory location..It works fine there but better wouldn't be a bad thing
Mine is a m35a2c wo/w from the factory.I installed the winch. My bumper markings were dirrect support and troop command.the drop side is soo much more useful than a non dropside it isn't even funny...you can drive a drop side with the sides down without rubbing if it has singles with the hubs...
They told me the same thing even with antique plates.Drove it to the emissions testing place they took one look at it filled out the paper i needed. No test but they have to be the ones to fill it out.Thats just how they do it around here...I think they just wanted to check out a bad A$$ TRUCK in...
There is a tm about how not to the the heater hoses. If they are in the upper locations they cause the thermostat to be bypassed. Each has it's good and bad. i tried it one way now its time to try the other the freeze plugs are easy enough to get to if it doesn't work out i will just put a plug...
I had mine in the port above the water pump it worked good for a couple months then failed..i dont think i will be going with another.. I'm gonna install a freeze plug heater this time.
Looks nice..but i agree they are dangerous with those rings on there.. they can pop off. the long part keeps the ring from rolling off.they took the easy way out rather than compressing the sidewalls down far enough to get the ring on.I used my engine hoist the first time to get them on the rims...
