    Meetings in Hickory,NC

Brandon, I plan to be there. Right now I plan to drive the pickup as I may be delivering a tire to Russ. I'm just getting too old to toss mounted 900's into the back of the Deuce. I'll come by your house by 8:30am Saturday. Russ, are you still wanting me to bring a couple 900's for you to...

    Ft. Bragg GL Rep

Anyone have any recent experience with the GL reps at Bragg? I was wondering how flexible they are about picking up wins a little later then the 2 weeks after EUC's clear?? I'll be off work at Christmas and it would be easier to pick things up then and not miss work, but my wins would have...

    lugnut removal / installation tip

I just had a thimble and lug nut stick with the duals on a M200 gen trailer. Put it back on the trailer and poured the oil to it. Tightened the thimble with a 15/16" socket the best I could. A couple of days later the lug came right off.

    Trailer tires

Been working on swapping out tires from the M200A1 gen trailers I got 2 weeks ago. You may remember my son broke a 3/4 “ drive breaker bar taking off lugs. That sort of slowed things down for a bit, but Kenneth happened by and offered to weld the breaker bar. He also loaned me his monster...

    Tim at Ft. Jackson, SC

Glad to hear John at Ft. Stewart is just as nice. I will be heading there for a tariler in a week.

    Tim at Ft. Jackson, SC

When Kenneth and I picked up my 3 M200A1 gen trailers last week, Tim was very helpful. He did everything we asked. He carefully picked up each trailer with the forklift and put it where we wanted it. The trailer riding piggyback was delicately lowered 'till we got it right where we wanyed...

    Ft. Stewart trailer help

Thanks, PopPop. Let me know. I have a brother in law in Jax, Fl but I doubt he has a pintel hitch. Hope you had a great time at the GA rally. LAst year looked like a blast and I wanted to make it this year, but it didn't work out. Brandon Cobb live 5 minutes from me.

Winching under & to the rear

GoHot, There is a video on the old Steel Soldier Site called "stuck deuce." It shows a guy winching his deuce out backwards. I remember seeing something where the friction did cut some of the bumper, but other than that it worked.

    Ft. Stewart trailer help

Won a M353 at Ft. Stewart. Got the Georgia bases mixed up and thought Ft. Stewart was closer. Would rather not have to get it right now. Don't want to miss work. Anyone near enough to get it and store it for me for just 'till a weekend? EUC has not cleared yet. Thanx.

    Recovery, Ft Jackson

Recovry4X4, No sway. Kenneth drove but he never had any trouble. We've done this before from Atlanta. Same set up, same result - no problems. Scarecrow1, We pulled them with a Dodge 3/4 ton Diesel. These trailers weigh about 2400 each, so one should be easy with a Blazer. No worse...

    Recovery, Ft Jackson

Had a very good Monday : good weather, good help, good GL rep, good food and a great recovery. Lovebloodhounds, (Kenneth), and I went to Ft. Josckson Monday and recovered 3 M200A1 Gen trailers. Tim, the GL rep, was great and very helpful. Loaded them up for us just like we wanted. We got them...

Oil filter cannister leak at base

My bonehead mistake I have changed oil filter gaskets 4 times since Friday and finally have the reason for the leak - my stupidity. I stayed up until about 1am this morning searching and finally found a definitive answer to how many gaskets to use at the base of the cannister - ONE. But...

Oil filter cannister leak at base

Thanks guys. Will be checking it out in a few minutes. Wanted to see what advice popped up here. Spin on filters might be nice but are cost prohibitive.

Oil filter cannister leak at base

Bonehead - Oil filter cannister leak at base Last June (4 months ago) one of my oil filter cannisters began leaking something fierce. I noticed the puddle under the Deuce when I came out of Lowes. It was about time for an oil change so I didn't give it much thought. Now a mere 4 months...

Brandon, I'll be by in the AM but no Deuce. I have a sprung an oil leak around the base of an oil filter cannister. Just found it driving around with the boys. Doubt I'll get to it that early.
