The best thing we could put on the "export" models would be a remote "kill" switch. Maybe we do already but somehow it seems like we always want to play "nice" and not give ourselves too much of an advantage.
I worked my way up from Slick 60s (M60A1) to M60A3s to M1s (all after I got tired of walking as an 11B). I have no idea how much better the M1A2s are from the M1A1 but hopefully they are substantially better.
After firing a M60A3 I had no problem with us giving away M60A1s to 3rd World...
I'd add Green-Gator to that list. He sent me a hand crank for the legs on mine. Seems like the only thing I wind up giving away are CUCV keys but I suppose as the collection grows I can be more charitable.

Lavarok is the Pathfinder for all things M1010. It took me about an hour following his instructions to install my battery equalizer. I haven't had any problems since (other than I tripped a breaker and...
That's one thing, mine came with 2 ranges, 2 ovens, lots of (dirty) cookware, even 10 bottles of hot sauce! (no stoves though) Only 1 pot and I doubt I'll use it much. I'll be on the look out for a couple of others. It had several roasting pans and the cradles for keeping Mermite inserts hot...
Yes it was. At first I thought it was just crusted rice but the stuff on the bottom wasn't rice. Now I'm thinking all those brown specs were mummified larvae. Couldn't really tell that well from just looking at them and I don't own a microscope so I just dumped them. The griddle isn't much...
I wanted to try out my new power converter today so figured it was a good time to try and clean the pot with left overs in it. The first pic is how I found it. 2nd pic is after boiling it the first time to get the majority of the crud out and then heating the water for the next go around. The...
I'll have to pass on the cook-off unless ya'll want to come west of the Mississippi River to do it. I suppose if there's another Katrina event in the New Orleans area we could all meet and have a "Cook-Off for a Cause."
I'll measure mine in the morning and post if someone hasn't done it before then.
I have several that have broken mountings where the horizontal bars go and need to fab something to fix that. One pole has the tip (that fits in the deck) broken off but I think that'll be an easy fix.
Just want to verify that the Standard Inverter is okay to use with the MBUv3s. I picked one up today but don't want to try it until I'm sure it's not going to blow out the control panel or something.
I plugged it in to ac power and the green light comes on but it was getting dark so didn't...
Worse case scenario is take a 2x4, clamp it to the windshield and screw/duct tape the top to the board. Won't be pretty and it won't be completely weatherproof but should hold up in a pinch.
I just saw an article on a taser for bears. It holds 3 charges so you can zap him again if needed or handle 3 bears at once (good luck with that).
I'm taking the M1010 with a M101 pulled behind it. The 1010 has A/C for the back (doubt it'll be needed), diesel fired heater and sleeping space...
Okay I'm going to try and make it and TRY to bring the MKT. I still need to get a Travel Wrap in order for it to be road worthy so that's a BIG "IF." Also going to need to wrangle a co-driver so when my limbs give out I can still get home.

I think by the time I bought a commercial axle and did all the work I could afford to just buy a M101A2 (which I might just do). I have a spare master cylinder lunette already so the brake lines and axle were the main concerns and I can bend and flare my own lines. The aggravation of doing...
