Getting there... I ran out of plasma tips this morning at 0300 but I switched to a backup system that took more time but still got me there.
Should have the thing finished 100% by midweek.

I spent last night modding my M105... I was shooting to get it ready by today's wheeling but I realized at 6.30 that I wasn't going to make it. Flew in from Miami yesterday after briefing Southern Command, came home, unpacked, haven't slept yet. I do have much of the componts...
Dude I really like your buggy. It's almost as ugly as mine: :D

One thing though.... the music on your site forces me turn my speakers off...you might want to put an option to turn that off for those of us at work.

The hookup is via standard gladhand. You use the emergency (passenger side) gladhand for air tools.

Cheap at any local trucker. I want to say they normally take 3/8" NPT fittings?

Heck yeah, Greg! If two guys are able to musclegrunt a 6000 series tranny around, the 3000 should be no worries.

This says they way 270 lbs each. Hunh. My 5 ton tranny is over twice the size and weighs about 450 with bellhousing.
Man too bad I'm not going to be on the Arsenal anytime soon (boss is going in 2 weeks to save me some travel budget). I'd love to drag you out of your office and ogle your deuce. ;)

Hrm... tilt bed sounds interesting....but at the rate I'm going, dovetail will be just the same amount of work, if not easier...
Well, at the very least, it's reassuring to know that other people are thinking along the same lines!
Cheers
Bob
Hunh. That would still require alot of work...I am almost still better starting with a M105, since I'm still going to have to drive over the wheel wells!
Ah well. I guess I'll just do what I do best - cutting everything apart so I can put it together in my head, and then do my best to put my...
Hey Guys
I think this is the right forum for this.
I picked up an M105A2 trailer from a guy on this board, and it's missing a bed. This is perfect, since all I want to do is make a rig hauler from it. I was full steam ahead to put my buggy in the deuce bed, but that would have taken 12'...
So what you're saying is that I my idea for a sticker of Calvin pissing on a Unimog or Pinzgauer would be in bad taste?
Seriously, ditto on the truck nuts.
All diesels are compression ignition engines, using the heat and pressure of compression to ignite the fuel/air mixture.
The Multifuel is another compression ignition engine, that uses (as I understand) viscosity of the fuel as an indicator of how to adjust the Fuel Air mixture to compensate...
Hey Guys,
Just a little more information on the swap. I got my deuce up to about 67 mph or so last night on some short trips on the highway behind my house... that's with the 3208 and the .69 OD tranny. Accelerration is good, AS IS the top speed. I should be able to do 73MPH at 2600 RPM and...

So I saw these puppies while I was whipping through the trucklite catalog in Napa. I asked the counterguy how much the red brake / turn lights were.
Something like...
I got lucky, too. I bought my truck also just off pictures and the usually suspect GL description of it having "been driven in," and it drove like a peach.
I sort of bought my deuce after this girl I was living with gave me the "we have to get engaged or not go out anymore" ultimatum, and...
