    Good luck. It dosent look REAL bad. What are you doing with the holes for patch work? welding? I did mine last year no major holes but took 2-days. 1-day prep and 1-day painting with herculiner. It makes the inside alot nicer and a little more quite.2cents

    Yes it is a good deal. I have FULL coverage on my M1009 at only $30 a month and that includes FREE towing. I used it once I had to pay over $120 for a tow only 20 miles. My insurance agent cut me a check as soon as i gave them a receipt.

    What to look for in a prospective m1008?

    nopics I add the recommended dose of little Power Service Diesel Clean or 1- pint of 2-stroke oil with every fill up. Heres the fuse panel pic. I believe the 24v spot is on the bottom left. I have my radio on the Ign on spot and my CB and other 12v items on a seperate fuse panel.

    I like the Krylon camo colors. The M1008 pic is krylon green its a nice dark green. But I went with the Rapco 383 spray paint for my m101/m1009. 3- color camo. It looks more legit I think.

    Do you know if you card or relay is bad? Did you test anything yet? As said earlier you can get everything at Cucvelectric.com. You could rebuild the entire glow plug system for around $200. Or you can do proper trouble shooting it may only be $10 part. Still have not got enough feed back...

    Solar battery charger wiring.

    I runa solar panel on my camper and have a solargizer on my CUCV. I ran the wires directly to the battery post. The neg. to nearest ground may work but just check with a meter. I would think it would be OK. But possible have a small votage drop depending of distance??
