    Went fishing, Deuce Style.

That's a nice Dodge! I love the look of the old flatfenders. A new motor, new fluids and bearings, a LOT of pressure washing, and she'll most likely be good as new! It's funny how mud can preserve things...

    Reassembly without marring paint?

I've got probably the biggest newbie painting question- but it's eluded me and ticks off my sphincterly challenged side... When you take pieces (fenders, hoods, panels, mudflaps, etc...) off of a truck to paint them separately and paint behind them where you normally wouldn't have access to...

So it begins but never ends???

    Looks great!

    Blast that M-275

Hey WM- if you need help taking it apart (the fenders, etc... may be easier with two people), I'd be glad to help some time in the next few weeks.

Here we go again... *won't start*

Tap the starter housing. Also- chock the **** out of it, put it in neutral, put the T-case in neutral, set the parking brake, LEAVE THE ENGINE STOP CABLE OUT, and try jumping the starter solenoid. You just want to see if that will get the starter working, you don't want to necessarily start the...

    2010 Haspin Multimedia Thread

That's quite a feat! Gimpy can get his Deuce to roll over, but you got both of those to stand on their heads!

What a Deuce is made for, Especially a bobbed one.

That's an excellent way to put it... never thought of it that way before...

    Any body have any parts!?

Private vendors... look through the "parts" on the classified on this site, and pay attention to who talks about having parts here on the forums. Since you're on the opposite side of the country from me, I'm afraid I can't make any suggestions off of the top of my head, but they're out there.

    srodocker's "little" project

Very, very nice! Is that Gillespie 383 Green (Carc Substitute)?

Got me a Deuce for a 100 Dollars

Deuces have all open differentials, with no lockers. What the airshift does is it used air to shift the transfercase so that it powers the front axle. (Like going from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive in a pickup truck.)

    USMC Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen 290 FAV

I doubt you're going to get an FAV one. I do know that you can get civvie Gelandewagens from importers here in the US--you could probably build your own mock-up of a FAV out of one. They're evidently very capable... Eurotruck Importers, Your source for Mercedes-Benz off-road vehicles and spare...

    1971 AM General M35A2 *Updated 9/28/08*

Awesome! Makes me really want to get off my rump and get crackin' on mine... can someone lend me a hundred or two?
  14. Capt.Marion

Well, my deuce is sitting in my shop!

EDIT: Sorry, that tutorial was out of date...

    Whats it worth

Just be patient. The right one will pop up when the time is right. It's painful, but with these you don't want to act too hastily lest you get screwed or wind up with a bad egg.

    aircraft stripper

How do you guys dispose of this? It's obviously pretty nasty stuff--and I just dumping dangerous stuff like this in a corner of the yard is a major peeve of mine... Collect it in a garbage bag or two, or a paper bag? I'd definitely use some plastic as a dropcloth under where I'm working... but...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Folks- these work great as you can cut the legs to any length. Just make sure you bring some 3/4" plywood or 2x4s and plywood to make a table top.

    Dana 60 under a m37?

Yeah, if you got a bunch of bodies and stuff laying around, I'd say go for it... I've seen one with 'em and it didn't look too bad at all. Had a 6AT Cummins stuffed in there too...
