    MEP003A Identification

Have you checked the trailer data plate? Guys, if it is on a Libby trailer, wouldn't it likely be a Libby Generator? Jerry

Not needed at all if you use this type transfer and you keep access to all your circuits on a selective basis. http://www.interlockkit.com/?gclid=CLHqzYSG47UCFQeznQodCXQAbw Jerry

    Mep003 problem

Tube is likely offset a bit or has no o-ring (s) at the base. Can be reset by removing the valve cover and loosening head bolts, if you can't shift it by hand. If it is cracked, I have several you are welcome to for cost of postage. E-mail me if you need one. "jerry@queenscreek.com" Jerry

    MEP002A no output

Congrats! Sounds like the battery charging problem may lead to the stator or DC voltage regulator (or both). Stator leads should read 0.6 ohms, as I recall, when unit is off and leads disconnected. Should produce about 40 volts AC to the DC VR when unit is running. Jerry

    MEP 002A Newbie

You might consider replacing the connector (if damaged) and wiring it yourself, or simply repairing/splicing the burnt wire in the connector. Harnesses are certainly available for far less than $200 and connectors should be available at a reasonable price as well. Jerry

    Another fuel pump question

    Way to go ED!

    Another fuel pump question

Ed, I would say yes, you can exchange parts. If there are shims beneath the pumps, keep them with the block, not the pumps.. The torn down pump you saw on my bench when you were here looked similar in terms of damage. Let me know if I can help. Jerry

    mep-003a teardown and refurb

No smoke from the tube. You may have a damaged tube or dip stick. If so, let me know. Jerry

    mep-003a teardown and refurb

Jim, There shouldn't be any oil coming from the dip stick check tube. You are getting back pressure from somewhere. A smarter person should chime in soon. Jerry

    MEP002A cylinder numbering

You are confused. The cylinder just behind the fan and shroud is #1. Applies to 003a as well. Jerry
