I recovered my M1009 today, and I'm very happy with it. It had a dead battery and was a little low on transmission fluid, but it runs a drives great.. It even has a perfect, uncracked dash pad! Everything works except the rear window regulator and needs a driver's window due to being broken. It...
I went and got it from Warner Robins AFB today. SS member SETOYOTA walked me through the process and was a lifesaver. Thanks once again, Chuck!
The Blazer runs and drives great. I had to put a battery in it and it was a quart low on transmission fluid, but it seems to mechanically sound. The...
I recovered my M1009 today, but I didn't have the pleasure of meeting John. All of the guys that ere there were very nice and accomodating. It was very good experience overall.
SETOYOTA met us there also, and walked us through the process. We would have been lost without his assistance! Big...
That is great to hear. I'm going in the morning to pick up my M1009. I have dealt with John on the phone several times, and he has been very helpful and very pleasant to deal with.
I'm a fan green myself, but I really like this tan/camo pattern. This truck was bought like this from GL, so I don't know if there were a lot painted this way, or if somebody was goofing around, but I really like it. I have considered it just because its different.
It may have been sheer coindcidence, but they seemed to get it in gear when I told them I was considering ending the auction due to length of the wait. Whyme did the same thing, and it worked for him, so I gave it a shot. I didn't at all send an irate or threathening email. I was respectful...
Welcome to the board. As far as the blackout lights, you can usually find them on ebay. There is a rear one on there now, but they come up quite bit, front and rear.

I need a few parts for my M1009, including the rear window crank and regulator and side mirrors among other things. I can find bright finish mirrors all day long from regular trucks, but the CUCV mirrors are painted. Does anybody know if they are the same mirrors just painted, or different. If...
FINALLY, after 91 days, I received my paid in full invoice today. I contacted GL last week and just got a generic, non-informative response. I emailed them again Friday, telling them I was considering ending the auction because I could not get any info from anyone. I got a response from GL...
You say they have extended the approval basis and do not use 60-day limit anymore, but that has happened AFTER most of us bought our trucks. Before they had my money, the GL people I talked to were nice and told me "The EUC's are coming in pretty fast these days" but since they've had my money...
Yes, that is my understanding as well, but I'd have to wait for another first time EUC if I bought something else wouldn't I? I've already waited this long, and I hate to pull the plug on it, but I am getting disgusted with the whole process.
I really wish I had just bought one from a civilian already titled back in April. It would have been WELL worth the extra $1000 - $1500 I would have had to pay extra to me. I had hoped to get it and pop the top off and enjoy it during the summer. By the time I get the **** thing, and and then...
74 days since SENT TO BC... This is getting ridiculous! I thought when the disclaimer on the EUC said "FIRST-TIME APPROVALS BY THE TSC MAY TAKE UP TO SYXTY DAYS FROM THE TIME AN ACCEPTABLE EUC IS RECEIVED" was a typo. Now I'm wondering how long SYXTY days really is!
