Sorry, I'll try, I just don't like to see an honest guy get dragged through the mud.. and now his Paypal $$ impounded.. Convinced me to never use that service..
OK got to get this off my chest. I bought my truck from the same guy and he was more than accommodating with me, gave me a bunch of extra parts, picked it up a week later and such and even kept his word and sold it to me when he ha offers for $1000 more! Now like I said he may not be big on...
My tires are specifically Michelin XML 395-85-20. You will need inner tubes if you are using the stock rims, the stock inner tube won't work you will need at least a 11x20 inner tube. That's what I have. Some guys have gotten away with a 9x20 but that seems too stretched out for me. I don't...
REDLEG, check out my album if you want to see 395's on stock rims.. My hubs have also been flipped. There is debate over safety issues with mounting on the stock rims but I believe that's just with the actual mounting. That by far is the cheapest combo. I picked up all 4 for around $1000...
The guy selling it originally wanted like $4,000 originally not sure what you paid for it.. Yes check the Brakes! Mine locked up and now I am in the process of re-building the airpack.. fun project though since the truck is in the driveway and not out on the road..
I am starting to feel really bad for this guy, the guy he bought it from didn't do much maintenance on mine, you are probably getting the truck in the same condition as you would from a GL auction.. He was a nice guy no doubt but you need to look over everything on these trucks.. To attempt a...
Holy &^%!
That's the guy I bought my truck from.... Yeah he's not the most knowledgeable on maintenance.. He was selling both mine "bobber" and that one at the same time.. Got mine first and only had to go 40 miles or so.. then the brakes locked up.. But it is an old truck.. My fuel filters...
Bsorcs, that's go to be the cleanest axle/wheel hub I have ever seen on a Deuce.. great job!.. I hope I get mine looking that good someday.. Now that I just picked up a Blast Cabinet..one part at a time..
:ditto: Good point, the way the truck is geared you can almost stop it by downshifting. I first drove my deuce with a wicked hangover.. then again without.. totally different experience.. Definitely want good brakes though..
Hey I was always hearing about water getting in through the stack and was wondering if anyone ever put in a drain valve at the bottom of the pipe similar to those on the air tanks and fuel filters? That would remove any condensation or rain water no? However no rain water to begin with is a...
what i don't understand is the speedometer showed i was getting 3 MPH faster after loading? i am guessing it was a false reading with the tires loaded.
Perhaps you were going more down hill on the ride back.. ha ha!
