Things will work out for the best. I remember buying my house and planning a big addition when the town changed all the rules and wouldn't let me build what I wanted.. I was devastated, sunk a bunch of $$ into that house already... Well just down the road I found a nicer bigger house and was...
sewerzuk, just wanted to say this whole thread has been a true inspiration and has helped me allot along the way. I did the same tire upgrade as you did and also have the exhaust for my stack, however I need to use adapters as I don't have a turbo and the pipes are smaller. Didn't install the...
Blueduce, I like that air breather snorkel! Looks Great!
Vintage iron, I don't have an intake on that side, nothing there just a hole in the side of the truck.. I do have an in-cab heater though..
Thanks! I mean it's obviously a stock louver from Home Depot but thought the same thing about critters and such getting in there. I am going to go ahead and mount it. I think I'll angle the vents in it forward to catch some air or perhaps facing backward so it looks more like a vent..
So I found this laying around the garage and thought it may fit that hole on the side of the engine. Walked over and it fit.. Like a Gloovveeaa!! So thought I would paint it the same as the truck and see what it looks like. I could mount it with just a bead of silicone, but just not sure if...

I bought Rotella 15-40 at Tractor Supply on sales for $59 for a 5 gallon pail. Not bad it's normally $65. Incase that helps ya'all. 2.5 gallon jugs are $33. still a fair price I think.. They have a generic brand too that's a little less..
The TM's will save you!! Thank god for them as I am now nearing completion of my airpack rebuild.. I will post my rebuild with pics and all info in one spot... Let's hope it works too.. that would be good.
The new ones are also longer than the standard ones.. At least that's what I have found out.. It mentions it in the TM as well.. Just incase you get a new one and it's longer. Mine seems allot longer but it works.. Other guys seem to have found the same size ones as their original but the TM...
I am going to try the Lizard skin at some point it's Non-toxic, Class A fire-rated to 300 degreesF. The hood can't get that hot can it? I'm going to use inside the cab as well on the firewall and such.. It's also a moisture barrier. Sounds like you can use it all over the truck!
Welcome back! I have always questioned the difference between Dot 3 and 5. In reading past threads it seems like the Dot 5 lasts longer and possibly attracts less water.. However if you plan on making it a yearly task of bleeding your brakes to remove possible water then perhaps you are OK...
