i would put a big block on there but not a deuce motor . the deuce is a inline 6 that weighs 1650lbs and would hang out past the front wheels on that stand.not to mention when you tried to rotate it you wouldnt be able to control it and would probably dump it on its side .the engine stands that...
i agree about aamco. i would look around most mom and pop shops are run differently than big shops that have a service writer working on commision telling you what you need .places that get paid hourly ussually work different.,same for the guys actually doing the work if they are getting paid...
stretch i guess the other pile of rubble was a house before a 5ton hit it and it didnt do as good as the barn..i let a friend use my ford ranger once he was backing it in to my driveway and somehow forgot the door was open :roll:he made my door and my fender into one body part house didnt do to...
i would check the cable for cracks it shouldnt be getting water on the inside of the cable to freeze. any hole in the outer cable will cause water to get in making it possible for it to freeze again:roll:
with arbs you wont have to upgrade axles unless you have bigger tires and are gonna beat the heck out of it on hard ground with them locked it .with detroits you in the rears you run a risk of snapping an axle since they make things bind in turns.fronts wont break unless locked in on hard ground...
i have had my ebrake freeze a couple of times ussually i put the transfer case in low and just give it a little jolt and it pops free.but you might want to start the truck put the transfer case in neutral trans in third and let it warm up like that it will get the trans and transfer case warmed...
im sure its probably frozen i would tap on the drum with a hammer or heat it up and see what happens .it doesnt have to be that cold just a little moisture in the air and wam if freezes
