i personally like the screw in block heaters they are easier to install and there is no need to drain the cooling system to install them . also with a screw in type there is no chance of it popping out like with freeze plug heaters. other than that they do the same thing so it's up to you which...
nice work on your low temp mods .but i have to ask what you do to your gen to make it start in the cold .anytime it gets below 30 i can barely pull the cord on mine.i have to use a torch on the crankcase for 20 minutes just to get it started at 30 .i dont think i would have a chance of it...
autozone out here by me said they are no longer carrying block heaters of any kind as of this year . i would put a oil pan heater on a gas motor it would heat the oil better
i thought the welded brackets were the later ones .those are the stronger one to arent they i want to change mine out to the welded ones they just look stronger
it should be spring loaded. the winch is off of a m135 or m211 with that round knob. i have the same winch on my m35a2c .the winch itself is the same .same part number same casting number you just need winch brackets pto and driveshaft for the m35 and you are good to go .
i would imagine it would go on there the same .since the heater hose fittings are the same size . i think it would help more on a deisel than on a gas engine .but it would help it turn over faster since it would keep the oil heated to
100dollarman i like the looks of those 14.00a on the stock rims looks like they sit with the threads flat on the ground.do they give you a full contact patch on those rims:?:.i kind of like having narrower rims on a mud truck since it uses the side lugs more in the mud and gives you better mpg...
they will fit i have 15.5s on my stock rims.with a wider tire on the narrow rim you dont have to worry about the rings coming off the problem is if you need to get one off after a flat good luck.the tire locks the ring in big time .i would think 14.00s would go on stock rims alot easier than...
x4 or 5 on the above i would drop a bottle of deisel 911 in the tank it unfreezes the fuel lines and keeps the fuel from gelling. one bottle will treat a whole tank full
glad you made it safely.gotta love big green triple a.nice that we can help eachother out in times of need .now if we could get that member map back up and working .
i seen miltrucks trailer pretty nice thats what trailer i got my box from .he was using it to haul deuces and equiptment with last i heard he was selling it and the m48 long wheel base tractor he made to:roll:
worth double the money . since it.s a pita to shoot the starting fluid in the air intake then run like crazy to jump back in the truck in time to crank it over before the starting fluid evaporates:roll:saves me from having to worry about it starting in the winter now i wont have to start it as...
i drove it to work today .i hit 67mph gps verified and no hitting it did get close looks like within 1/4inch from how think the snow was on the spare.i drove it 60miles and flexed it out to .so i am very happy with it now:-D
i got mine installed yesterday and tried it out today it was 16 degrees it started in less than a second .i couldnt believe it works that good .the day before i ended up using starting fluid since i was cranking on it for a good amount of time even with the manifold heater still nothing .so i...
i've never used tire chains i'd like to see some pics or videos of what they can get you through vs going with bigger better tires that are aired down:?:only people i know of that use chains are the otr truckers .never seen anyone use them on a mud truck
15.5s are the same size as 395s they are 46inches tall and 14.00s are 48inches tall. 14.00s wont fit on a stock deuce they will rub in the middle of the two rear axles and the spare wont fit there either .there is only 3/4 of an inch with what i did with 15.5s .you will loose 1inch of clearance...
wish i would have done this when i put the tires on there rather than driving around without a spare with me for over a year. it would have come in handy when i caught a screw in one tire at work 30miles from home:roll:
