darn it, I have a passenger side glass. Its the same glass as all chevy trucks and the blazers of that era (77-87).

AJM, you need to come and take a look at my cucv at the clare show, I can answer a lot of your questions.
Just to Clarify this, the relay is fed 12v to one small terminal, the other small terminal is the light blue wire, and is connected to ground via a switch (or controller in the stock setup) grounding it activates the relay, which then feeds current through to the glow plugs.
oh jeeze, its a RESISTOR, not a thingy. there are three bolts that hold the shield to the firewall, the resistor is bolted to the shield. They arent hard to get at, not at all. Just use a swivel extension or socket. piece of cake.

ok, that could simply be a glow plug issue. please disconnect the glow plug power wire on the relay under the hood, when using ether. or you could blow a head off the engine.
the rubber lines are for the transmission to tell the shift points. without them...
