congrads, as for towing it, please disconnect the driveshaft from the rear axle and tie it up. otherwise you might damage the transmission/tcase.

That is way too much for a deuce to handle. To be honest, i dont think you'd be happy with a 5ton and that much weight.

Just to Clarify this, the relay is fed 12v to one small terminal, the other small terminal is the light blue wire, and is connected to ground via a switch (or controller in the stock setup) grounding it activates the relay, which then feeds current through to the glow plugs.

Whatever day it ends up being, I and a friend are game for driving. Just try to get me two weeks notice to let work know.

oh jeeze, its a RESISTOR, not a thingy. there are three bolts that hold the shield to the firewall, the resistor is bolted to the shield. They arent hard to get at, not at all. Just use a swivel extension or socket. piece of cake.

sure you can just plug it off. I would follow the line back to the nearest fitting and put a plug in there.
