I just found this thread, looking good! I know it's a bit late for your truck, but for large one piece aluminum roofing try checking with big truck body shops. Many times we had 53'tralers come in with 10 or 20 feet of roof damaged and we'd replace the whole roof and save the old roof panel for...
You never said what drive shafts your planning on using, Either one of the fronts might fight but your going to have to change a yoke or use a conversion joint. I would use the truck rear shaft and have the front yoke changed and the shaft shortened, it's cheaper to shorten than to lengthen plus...
All I've ever used are the Wellmans for years in 4 different trucks, I've had some swell a bit but no biggie getting them out. I've thought about trying the 60g but never got around to it.
Never heard of that before! It wouldn't work with todays 'safe' non flammable brake cleaner, my how time have changed. BTW are you referring to the old Detroit 2 stroke?
Back when I had a body shop I hated those guy's, but soon found that I could write up a job and then sub it to them and make money for nothing! If the dent removal wasn't perfect than they didn't get paid that's the guaranty.
Nothing and everything! I driver right by you a couple times a year on my way down to my company terminal, there down in New Kingstown exit 57. Next time I'll blow the horn! :)
My son used to laugh and make fun of my real oil cans, you know the kind with a spout and trigger pump or flex bottom until he learned some things work better with real oil instead WD40 crap.
I had the same issue and I couldn't save the socket so I simply replaced the socket with a soft plastic one that takes a 193 "peanut" bulb, just a few seconds on the bench grinder to remove the flap and made it a push fit. Sockets are available at any auto store or just cut one off some unused...
Are you sure the GP's are working? Any smoke? It could be the GP's aren't working or the relay or it could be a leak in the fuel system and the engine lost it's prime. Or it could be the fuel shut off solenoid in the IP
I drive a 1008 daily and get 20mpg in the summer, winter it goes down due to 'winter fuel' and oil and grease is thicker so more rolling resistance and the fact I have an 8' snow plow on it. That truck does have a 700R4 in it and that is what makes the difference.
The best MPG I ever got was on...
That 911 in the red bottle is great stuff, I had to use it once on my big truck when the filter gelled up just after getting on the highway. I unscrewed the plug on the top of the filter housing and poured in a few ounces and I could see it dissolving the wax crystals immediately.
Now that you...
Moog, spicer are good to go, stay away from the lifetime warranty junk at advance and auto zone type stores they don't last and who wants to replace them every year or grease them every week? I've tried auto zone tie rods and had one that had different taper then the OEM took it back and all the...
