    WTB - M35A3 Rims

AD- A quick search turned up this post where you can get them from the manufacturer, about $700 each. Surplus might be cheaper, but a little harder to find. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=6600&highlight=m35a3

    TM for M172A1 Trailer

I'm looking for info on the M172A1 trailer and can't access the manual through LOGSA and didn't see it here on the site. Does anyone have a copy of 9-2330-211-14&P?

    M819 in tow

Dan- Do you have any of the data plates for the M819 crane operation? Mine are all painted over.

    M819 in tow

No, not yet. It might just get a chrome stack (or stacks) to match. Maybe one wrecker will stay original and one will be pimped out. You never know what I might do!

Deuce pulls a 1 ton around

PWM- I think you could easily fab up some tow bar mounts to slid into your receivers. I have some M880 towbar adapters that I might try to use. Maddawg- This was definitely a two person operation.

Deuce pulls a 1 ton around

Those are Michelin 11.00R20 XL. I've got 14.5s on the front now (pics in another thread).

Deuce pulls a 1 ton around

A fuel pump went out in the Dodge, so a little towing was in order. It is amazing how a deuce can make a 1 ton 4x4 dually look so little! I need to fab up some towbar mounts for future recoveries.

    New Use for Towbar?

I saw a 5 ton dump with a towbar used in a hoist configuration. Has anyone ever tried this?

2 chicks in a modded Deuce

RE: 2 chicks in a modded duece Yep, you got my attention too!

    M819 in tow

Yep. Within the week, that crane assembly and fifth wheel was coming off as scrap. The truck was to be kept and used.

Broke my trailing arm today - Can this be fixed?

Call Memphis Equipment. They will have them.

Broke my trailing arm today - Can this be fixed?

Yes, you can press in a new one. Looks like you avoided major disaster though. I've seen them fail and the whole axle slide out.

    M819 in tow

Yep, the same one. I couldn't stand to see it dismantled. I tried to get some interest here on the board, but I knew I had to act fast. If it would command top dollar, I could make the necessary repairs and maybe sell it.

Will the Deuce pull a 40' CONEX box?

RE: Will the Deuce pull a 40 You would be in for a long slow drive. I don't think it is a good idea. Pay the pro's to move your container, or try something like ABF's www.upack.com

    Large Towbar?

We paid about $150 per bar through GL.

    Large Towbar?

I've got one with a slight bend in it too. Due to its size, I wouldn't expect it to impact its performance any.

Just curious: duals on the front?

What do you think would be ruined? The look, or something else?

    M819 in tow

Re: RE: M819 in tow Thats too funny! The box holds feed for cattle feed and is not on the truck. It is freestanding and is driven under to load feed into pickups.

    M819 in tow

I don't have the military lightbar used for towing, so I just use a couple of led's on magnets. They will either flash or remain on. I picked these up at a farm show last year and they are very handy. Most of the time, I'm using them on trailers. They are quick and easy.
