    Duals vs. singles

If you prefer the look of duals with NDT's and don't do a lot of aggressive off-road driving, then stay with them.

    New here.... "13"

Nice action shots. Why did you mount your emergency lightbar so it can only be seen from the rear?

MO OK AR KS TX rally

Good possibility for me. If I can borrow a step deck, I might bring a couple toys. Late April through August work best for me.

    Towbars in Missouri

Someone got a really good deal. That was a good price for the lot.

    Hmmmm, 5-ton RV?

Would you want an expansible van 5 ton for an RV? I think they are about 14' x 18' when open.

Ditto. Ditto. I always like to see the picture on the home page as a random photo.

    Super single wheel questions

I use the term "combat rims" to refer to original military issue, 2 piece bolt together rims, with internal beadlock. The M939A2 series trucks use these rims with 14.00R20 tires. Other trucks such as the M35A3, HUMVEEs, FMTVs, HEMMTs etc. also have "combat rims". You can also get custom...

    Super single wheel questions

The combat rims are a better suited for the singles, but I wanted to show that you CAN run singles with just 2 combat rims in the front. Combat rims are wider, safer, tubeless, allow the track to be the same front and back, and have the beadlock feature. If you can get all combat rims, go that...

Just how big is an M35A3?

I was searching for some information on the M35A3 and ran across this picture. It does a good job of showing the size difference between the A3 and an A2 five ton.

Check out my new 5-ton!....errr 7.5-ton!

Tractor variants normally have shorter wheelbases to make sharper turns to offset the trailer turning radius. I looked through the MVTR brochure again and noticed that there are basically 2 wheel base variants, 184" and 216" (there are others for the LHS models). It looks like the rear...

    Super single wheel questions

You can use stock dually rims in the rear if you want to. Here is a pic of one of my 5 tons with Goodyear AT-2A 14.00R20 on combat rims in the front and stock rims in the back. 395 85 R 20 are about 46-47" tall and 15.5" wide. I think they would be a good choice for 5 ton multifuels. I have...

Check out my new 5-ton!....errr 7.5-ton!

RE: Re: RE: Check out my new 5-ton! I was surprised by the comment of the rear steering too, so I checked it out at www.oshkoshtruck.com. After looking through the brochure, it appears the tractor variant does have rear steering. There is even a pic. Check it out!
