I am sure this won't be treading on any toes since the pictures flash in front of me everytime I click here so here goes:
Lots of trucks showing up in the South East being auctioned at a code H, dollar value $1,000 and showing lots of rust. I would seriously look at them if I was retired and...
I hope we get an update on this project soon it is one of my favorites. I was talking to one of the mechanics the other day and asked if he had a HEMMT Wrecker and he said Oh man I wish, I only have an MTV one. The HEMMT may be the truck that won the first gulf war like the CKWW was the one...
That is one nice looking truck must have been on the road frequently with the DOT reflector tape clearly displayed as required on commercial trucks. What are the truck specifics like milage, hours date of make and manufacturer? I am glad to see them coming back to good hands after a second...
Guys try not to miss this for fuel reasons. People are driving all over Korea and from the current rate on the South Korean won it is almost $8.00 a gallon. It does make me want to make a hybrid when I retire though.
It is definately not reactive armor. Reactive armor is a composition explosive designed to detonate when a shaped charge weapon hits and is strictly designed to deflect the plasma cutting cabablity of the HEAT warhead. When it is used on Bradley Fighting Vehicles the minimum safe distance for...
RE: new Mule for 21st Century
Yeah AUSA conventions are the bomb you really have to go to one if you find one near you. I have been to the one in DC a number of times and I always see amazing stuff and meet a lot of good contacts from industry.
Kenny if you have any pictures from your trip...
In Maryland the National Guard put a HMMWV body on an M 809 series five ton that they chopped I saw it at a fair in Fredrick Maryland a few years ago. I asked and they said they used wrecked trucks to make it. It did look cool and I know they made it in the State Maintainance Shop and the...
Here is how I recovered mine
This was a pretty easy pick up with this homemade flatbed but any well built trailer or pickup would work for you. If I was not in Korea I would run up and pick it up for you in the same way.
The Army is working on new hybrid trucks and I found this note on the new Mule on the Army web page: I found a better picture of the mule

Great find and congrats I am hardly keeping my sanity knowing I will be picking mine up on March 17th and headed back on a 1,200 mile trek. Are you planning on driving it home too. I certainly would and I bet most of us have done the drive home on at least one of our GL lots. This truck looks...
Some units installed valves in the heating tubes or on the block to cut off the heating core did you check to see if there was one that is shut? Other than that I would say a heater core blockage.
Wow what a great thread I am surprized I never read it before. Must have been during a high intensity time of my Army days. Did you get any snow to push with the UNIMOG? All your vehicles look awesome thanks for posting them. I hear you about the vets loving the command car. I am sure most...
If you can't find it here I doubt that there is a finer place to find out. Most records are forwarded with the truck to DS/ GS supply when turned in. They either file, destroy or forward the documents with the vehicle. If you can find bumper numbers on it that is a big help to tracking down...
You mean like this
I built this out of an M200A1 generator trailer and it worked great behind my duece. The 28 foot M 127 is a heavy trailer but built like a tank I really like mine. I did not switch it over to 1100. X 20 tires because I knew I would be getting at least one tractor and some...
I think the important feature is that the LED on the control box blinks in direct sunlight when hooked up. I have one on both of my big trucks and they are both working on sunny days. I find that they do not work nearly as well on overcast days even when other solar cells are putting out. I...
