I have a 1945 Converto Airborne dump trailer. The rims look the same from the outside, but have a steel circular plate welded to the inner side of the wheel to give it strength during glider and drop missions.

Sectioning the top
My plan is tp plasma cut 12" out of the center and tig butt weld them back together. The rear skirt section will have 6" taken off each side. Kind of a shame to do to a brand new top...unless someone out there has a brand new Deuce top to trade.

I paid $14.00 / can, but it covers differently thatn most other sprays. It is more dense. It IS the military paint.
Now a gallon will set you back around $100+, and they recommend to add hardner to make it last longer than what the military expected it to last.

I've used a rubber expansion plug too for years with no problems. Just didn't wanna pay the mechanic to fix the rear freeze plug...the one between the firwall and head. I eventually will make a removeable panel to access it, but whadda bitch that one is!
