Hey Chris,
If you need any help with all that heavy lifting, send me a PM! Love to learn as I go. It may not be a deuce, but it is Navy and OD green iron....
I want a Navy Deuce as a keeper. Think I've got a chance to find one?
Nice Truck! I'm building a pole barn, think I can borrow it? [thumbzup] I think the 3000 mile drive would kill me AND my wallet!
Good luck and be safe! Remember, there are a lot of stupid people out there with drivers licenses...
Oh, and watch out for buildings jumping in front of...
Sure could use one of those trailers... I have also tried to get a dolly and been highly outbid. Making one makes perfect sense!
When do the trailers come up for auction?
Might as well show off my new toy!
19?? Ford 4000 industrial with the factory front end loader. Bought it, picked it up, and put in a full days work on my new property with it. AWESOME! rofl
Were they engine oil cooling lines or transmission oil cooling lines?
I'm not too sure how these engines are set up- probibly a seperate cooler for the tranny? I'm going to guess that it is engine oil, by your statment about the oil pump.
Even if the line kinked and backed up the pressure, it...
24v LED marker lights? Or some fancy wiring with resisters or such?
Really really looks good! After getting my MIG welder, I hardly ever use my buzzbox. A monkey can learn to MIG weld in 15min, So it only took me like 14min! [thumbzup]
You should get some kind of welder, they are very very...
Your right it does say 'do not hump'. I always pictured dirty things when I saw that. It wasn't until I started working for the railroad that I learned the true meaning- 'do not hump' means don't send it through a hump yard. A hump yard is a railyard with a hill on one end,(the hump) and they...
Mine won't go over 35 either, well, it doesn't have a speedo so I don't even know if I'm getting close to 35. It does seem like it. But unlike tnbender, I know the problem, it won't go into 3rd gear! Any suggestions on that one? Sorry if I'm hyjacking a thread.
I know it sounds stupid, but did...

Anyone got a crane that will lift 35 tons? I may have to turn my deuce into a 'locodeuce' or a deuce-o-motive. rofl
I've got Purple H10 and I10. So I won't be right there with you guys, but at least I got two spaces together!
Very excited to do my first convoy in the deuce. :driver: rofl
RE: Re: RE: Towing
I think it maybe a medium, I guess I'll find out when I get it. I do know that it has the large adapters, 1in pins, and the medium/light adapters, 3/4in pins.
The ticket was for "too fast for conditions" It was the cheapest one he could give me. I got lucky.
RE: Re: RE: Towing
Ok, I bought the tow bar. No more demolition work in my Deuce! And no more tows! The #$@%$#^ tow truck charged me $375 to tow it 25 miles. Bastards only quoted me $125 an hour! Next time I'll get it in writing. So I should have just shelled out the $500 for the tow bar, and...
My Dad says it will be fine, he can pick the trailer up on his way home Thurs. and keep it in Columbia, SC for awhile if you can find someone else to get it from there.
