As in if an ABS sytem has been installed?
I'd like to say welcome to the site, please let me be the first to say do a search, and read some TM's. You'll learn a lot this way. But in short if I remember correctly an easy indicator to tell if the 939 series truck you're looking at has the ABS...
Gas or Diesel genset? I have a couple gallons of either I can probably add to it. I also will have a couple gallons of gasoline that needs filtered but would be free to anyone that wants it.
Looks great to me. I dont know enough to give a history but I'd lean towards civi unit originally though. Looks to be in great shape compared to some that I've seen.
We have a lot of cats that patrol around my house tends to keep the rodents down for the most part. there are also a few foxes that drool over the neighbors chickens but end up eating the mice around here. But good reminder to check out my truck a bit.
Looked at it. Indy4x4fab is helping me locate some more parts. I'm thinking of starting my own little build/restoration thread for it. I will probably be learning quite a bit about body work in the coming months.... and electrical gremlins.
Oh and I bought some more scepter MFC's and nozzles...
Still looks good. My little M1008 has a long ways to go. Are you planning on doing a winch at some point? I'd like to put one on mine, I just cant figure out how to mount it. Maybe I do need that welder....
We already have seperate rooms so... good chance that might be worth it! We work seperate shifts so I dont think I'll be on the couch anytime soon. Now I need to find out where the truck is leaking :???:
BTW Nice looking truck! I'm still figuring out what to do for a winch mount on mine.
Put it to work with a few runs from the harware store. It has a few issues I'm noticing... there is a turnsignal bulb chilling out inside the housing of the driverside turn signal havent checked if it was operational or not yet. No high beams (not sure if thats normal), voltmeter is still dead...
Paid for, took delivery, insured (will be looking for a new insurer but its legal for now), and drove for the first time. Got a new tailgate (well, its a GMC but it fits and works and s in good shape), new shackles (need retaining pins), found out I still have rifle mounts, did some more parts...
Thanks, im going to get the relay tomorrow morning for thr doghead relay mod so I can get it knocked out as soon as I get it home. Ive been reading up on a few of the other things. Thanks for helping me source some parts too.

There was another post about the cause somewhere else but that might take a bit more digging. there was also something that was loose on a few trucks but for the life of me I...
As the date gets closer there will be postings regarding food and cook outs and all sorts of stuff. Having never been to Haspin but being stuck in IN for over a decade I'd say bugspray. They have a river near the property and a couple ponds. Mosquitos have been known to carry off small children...
Good luck and let me know how it goes. From the info I pulled from INDMV I didn't see any distinction between automatic vs manual tranmission so I think you're good to go on that. Examiners are hit or miss just be polite, professional, and knowledgeable it goes a long ways. Might get lucky and...
I have to admit, I dont nomally like the externally modded trucks, but your truck is looking pretty good. I like it a lot which is kind of strange for me. How hard was it to pull the 5th wheel and switch to a civilian bed?
I'm in for the first or third options, I dont think I'll be able to make the other one as I'd be burning quite a bit of vacation. I'm hoping for dust, I have enough mud issues. Hopefully I'll have something 6x6 by then.
