I found a xm211 in a local junk yard two days ago. It's missing engine, trans, and outside rims in the duels, He wants $600 for it. Trying to get an idea what a ball park idea what the weight might be missing those parts so I can compare it to the price a scrap. I'm just thinking of this one...
Pull your air cleaner element out and then start it and see what it sounds like. If the filter is dirty or you have one that is a real fine micron the air flow is restricted. Turbo's need all the air you can put to them.
Before the computerized diesel's came along we always use to mix our drain oil from the oil change in our tractors and trucks. Think of it as a #3 diesel, thicker than #2, and yes, you will get more power doing that. I've also knows folks that pull into a station and acdiently put gas in their...
Welcome from the UP. I have a neighbor that has a reese pintle I borrow when hauling trailers, and it seems to work regardless the size of the trailer. It has the 2 5/8" ball with the pintle clamp over the top. I have a dodge 3500 that I pull with. Now if you were hauling a loaded trailer

Thanks much, appreciate that. I've been trying to read the posts that apply to the questions I have about buying through the auctions, so I don't repeat posts, but I've noticed that there are a lot of repeats and haven't seen anyone getting raked over for doing that. :D

Nope, we don't own one yet. We farm for a living and our three boys, 12,15, and 17 have been collecting old military things. They love it and we've had some great projects that we've worked on. The older the better, they've learned so much of the history and its gave them a very positive...
Ya, winter settles in pretty early up here. I live on the Garden Peninsula, between Escanaba and Manistique Were what's know as the banna belt of the UP :)
Hello from a Yooper in Michigan. Looks like this site is a gold mine of information. Looking forward to learning from all the older posts on the site. Also going to try to do some buying on the GL auctions.
