I forgot I had a photo of this 3 axle trailer behind one of my Bedford TM 4x4 8 ton trucks. These trucks are ex RAF that were on a RAF base on the German / Dutch border. Parked for 15 years on the old air field. One has 500 kms the other 3,000 kms. Still new!
In the Bed I have a 4500 liter fuel...
Think 2 times, no 10 times before buying a 432. To change the starter you must remove the motor! The Rolls Royce motor sounds like a detroit cause it is a 2 stroke deisel but thats were it stops. The motor is complex as in using 2 pistons in 1 cyl!! The design of the APC is not bad but the motor...
WOW A snow plow fair! I wish we had them here. I plow snow in the winter and love to see the new things in the market even though I cant afford them! Thanks for the pics.
If it still over heats after the thermo change there must be a problem. You can either contiune to look for the problem find it and correct it or maybe add a "helper fan" on front of the radiator. The OEM fan is fixed blade. The faster the RPM the more air it pulls. Adding a eletric low profile...
I remember when we were kids we would remove them thinking our cars ran faster (less drag on the water pump). Boy were we wrong!! I hope I was the only idot who thought this.....
One thing I am sure my M923A2 turns shorter to the left than to the right. I have one hair pin curve before my house and going one way I make it and coming back take 2 maneuvers. I have tried it in the M931A1 and the same. The M35A2 takes 4 maneuvers!! Real Man Stearing!!
I want to regulate the fan clutch to turn on at a lower temperture. I see on the back of the sensor there is something but before I do damage I wanted to check with others.
I looked for help in the TM but could not find anything telling how to regualte it.
Any help would be very appreciated..
I am a firm beliver of keeping the thermostat and not removing it or modifing it. To much flow does not let the water cool in the radiator before re turning to the block.
I had problems with my M35A2 overheating in the summer and running cold in the winter. I remeoved the thermostat and it was "rusty". I replaced it and did a 2 hour long power flush of the complete system. I added good quailty anti freeze and that stopped the over heating in summer and now the...
The Italian military asked us to come. I cant be more happy when we work together to show the public what we both have and teach the public the good things about the military. I spent 25 years in the Italian army.
This trailer is the back bone of the German army. They pull it with 2 axle 4x4 trucks mostly. Super light and tracks straight. I dont think they have been imported there.
Also if you care about resale vaule the Ford conversion would put your truck at low vaule. Not many collectors would want it but the truck is yours and half the fun of owning it is make it personal to you.
I agree 100% M16TY and if you have the money a 5,9 cummins from a wrecked dodge might be a...
Yes but there are tons of people saying it will damage the motor but I have been using it for over 10 years and made thousands of kilometers with only the flow problem when it gets cold. Many people have put heating strips on the tank to solve this. Some use 2 tanks one to start the motor on...
