I welded a 2" receiver to the rear of the m971 semi trailer so I can bring the VW rail buggy.. I think it looks factory :)
I should be there around 7-8pm Wednesday
between $20K-$100K depends on if the owner thinks its gold or not.. the year makes a big differance as well.. I have been looking for a H1 for years, and a running driving one with no major issues is gonna run you $20K(cheap) to around $40K(normal price) the wagons tend to be cheaper..
that might work as well.. i just got my hands on a 4kw onan tonight, hopefully I can get it running pretty easily (might just need carb cleaned) but it is made to be hard wired.. so I will look for a plug.. or I have a transfer switch I might wire in.. either way, we will figure something out..
I would LOVE to park in the same spot as the fall rally, but being as it is first come-first served, we will see how it goes.. I will be getting there around 6 or 7 wednesday evening.. and as far as plugs.. on one box like i used last year, is there 2 legs of 110 on 110 outlets in the same box...
yep.. i'm scard.. lol i will be more then likely pulling less then 20A 120V but there is a slight chance it will get re-wired to 240.. will that be a problem? if so, i can just keep it as-is for the rally..
me(josh) and my brother(justin) and a friend(damien) will be coming with my M932A1(turbo) and my XM971(command camper).. I am still not sure about the water buffalo, but it is looking like a good chance that matt and his dad George will be joining us as well with a m813+s280 and a M35+s280+M149...
the "drafting" I am refering to is simply pumping from a pond, ot other large body of water, that way you don't have to be hooked to a fire hydrant
welcome to the site! great bunch of folks here.. just be sure to read the operators manual for your deuce.. thay are free here on the site under "technical Manuals" and also- WE WANT PICS!!! rofl
Still might be a firetruck.. I'm trying to figure out if I can get it there or not.. It's not as big as the one you guys are talking about, but it will blast some mud off.. 500gpm at 200psi with drafting capabilities ;)
I agree.. I prefer the 855 cummins (big block) for pulling.. I also added a turbo and turned up the pump a tad, and it really woke that "sleeping giant" of a engine up! The only down side is fuel consumption.. The big block likes to drink the fuel down!
on a STOCK deuce, it is not really needed, but if you turn up the IP at all, a pyro is a must have! that way you can keep a eye on the exhaust temps, and not burn a valve, or worse- melt down a engine.. 1100-1200 is the MAX temp you want to let it get to.. and dont let it stay there long..
