I would think getting rid of one axle would decrease the carry weight. and if you have lockers in the rear like I do you would lose traction. I'll never bob mine but a crew cab seems interesting
so does the deuce have the same with frame too?
are you sure its 34 inch frame and not a 43 inch frame?
I believe these will fit on a deuce but from my reading and research they do not fit on 5 tons....but I could be wrong
these are 43 inch hitches (usually for Silverado 3500 frames)...
Cut a hole for the pintle hitch to come through and maybe a drop down ball hitch coming from this 2" hitch
I know they make one for a deuce but doth think curt has one that fits the 5 ton m923
has anyone tried this on their M923?

PS the one post I read said to use a 12v pure sign wave inverter after converting 24v to 12v. However, my understanding is that it's better to convert 24v to 110ac than 12v to 110.
I know I don't need a 2000watt inverter but I figured that's what coms out of a standard house plug
on second...
I have read a few posts about this and wanted to run this by the hive before spending the funds.
I'm starting a new project on my M-923 cab. At this point I'm gathering information and supplies.
Here's the plan:
24 volt batt (with battery tender) as the main power supply to 24v fuse box.
The...
I'm doing my M923 with a wire wheel and wire brush in areas that are pealing or rusting only. Then priming over those areas needed. And finally putting external latex paint on with a roller and brush.
also if the rust is that bad and I cant get all of it off with the wire wheel I'm using rust...
I was going to say "go big or go home" but someone already did.
The advantage to the 5 ton is that its easier to drive, newer and better motor. Maintenance I would say is the same but I'm new to the 5 tons. I had an M35A2 and sold it 2 years ago. Picked up my 5 ton and love it. I can actually...
from what I understand they are not armored. just simulators. I wouldn't pay that much for one. Would rather get a M923 and make armor plates for it myself. I'd just armor the cab and motor.
Update on the antique tag.... Its been about 10 days and I just got a call from Tallahassee. They had a question about my insurance and needed more money. I sent a postal MO for the 58 dollars as it says on the form but they said it would cost 70 dollars and they took my CC info to pay the...
