Mep 002, Mep003 vs civ genset?

Running load cycled between 23 and 45% when compressors kicked on. I don't know that you can actually see the starting current on such small loads, but I had all those units running. The unknown is my water heater. It's electric, so I'd have to run a bit of water to get that to kick on, but I...

Mep 002, Mep003 vs civ genset?

I just hooked the 003 up to the house via methods that we will let be, and it, like you said, hardly phased it. I threw the breaker on the unit, and it didn't even grunt. That's with, the central air, two window air units, all the lights on in my shop, my shops 2 ton AC unit, and the fridge...

    Deuce GVWR?

In my state titling and registration weight are two seperate issues. I titled it at 25,999#. The military rating is great, and people will argue, that at 23,500 you are fine, but at 23,501 you start breaking things. I decided not to limit myself since I actually use my truck to carry things...

    Deuce GVWR?

But it boosts your guys egos to have to explain things all the time. The search would let a lot of you down. But myself, I think I put one pound short of 26000. Registering the weight is a whole other issue, but I like to keep my options open.

Mep 002, Mep003 vs civ genset?

I priced the cord, It was $2.60 or so/foot. I'll get like 50'. I've got four 50' chunks of #2 THHN from a recent project, but that would be a waste.

Mep 002, Mep003 vs civ genset?

I'd love to get another, but I'm not in the market right now. I have to downsize a little to prepare for a pretty certain deployment in the next few years unless things calm down. I'm not too sure I'd survive at home with anything else parked in the yard, although if I could get my hands on a...

Mep 002, Mep003 vs civ genset?

Hey Speddmon, you see that "power plant" that's coming up soon at an un-named place that has two 003's on a trailer? I bet that'll fetch some good money. And they look good too. As far as the OP, you aren't going to get a set on a trailer for less than $1000. You may find an 002 by itself less...

Added coolant filter and flushed radiator today'

Just a note, those 1/2" ball valves which look like Menards, Home Depot, ect, might not be"Full Port" valves. The flow is rather restricted compared to a full port valve which costs about twice as much. Look at the two through the valve and you'll see. Your valve has about half the area passage...

    8,620 lbs of gravel

I've hauled 5 1/2 ton of sand. It's the only time I have ever needed 1'st gear. It hardly even sat down.

    MEP002 In m101

They are in 101's all the time for sale in the un-named place. You don't need to re-route the exhaust in my opinion.

My used to be M818 With Deuce C bed on it

Now that looks good. I like that you extended the frame and gave the bed the proper hangover. It just looks a lot better that way.

MV trailer to haul skid loader

Just a side note, the data plate on my 105 says highway payload capacity is 4500#'s.

    5 Ton Shortage

I wouldn't say there is a shortage. You just aren't going to get them at a steal.

Trucks gone wild!! in a DEUCE

Come on, pride has justified lots of broken parts.

For those who wanted more pics

I've had my deuce on a scale. It weighed 13,000#'s. If the fronts are rated at 5000#@ and the truck has a front bias of 70% (I have no idea what it is), that puts 9100#'s on the fronts. Add 500# for the winch, 200# for the tow bar, and you are almost at 10,000#. I would've never guessed. If...

Trucks gone wild!! in a DEUCE

I bet 5 ton of gravel or sand would make a big difference, or is that prohibited?
