when you get replacement civy ball joints they come with a adjustable ring that goes in the upper spindle socket. If you want to chance it and leave the stock 0* ring in go for it. I have seen some that come out not needing adjustment and some that do. I have replaced 100's of 10 bolt ball...
well there life span was over 20 years........ there a good truck you just got to take care of them. But yes driving around in the sand box take a lot out of them just as any truck.
If you cant figure it out really your better off taking it to your local auto repair shop. You can get a Repair manual (Chilton) or read up on the TM's. Outer tire ware means tow adjustment put pulling means caster or camber. You need to check all the parts.... Like I said get a repair manual or...
well do all the reading you can on here... take a couple months and figure things out. IF you want a "magic" pill to get you your cheap deuce.. Well its not going to happen. I picked one up for little over 1K this winter but will have 1500-2000 in to it before it can hit the road again. Figure...
Hard to say over a post on the net... if it is working well.... its working. Make sure the fluid is full (one inch below the fill hole) and clean and let her fly.

I for one.. kinda like the sound of the 6.2 in the Hummers.... I know there crap to a cummins.. but its what I used while I did my short stay in the Army. Nothing like having to run out the gears just to get the armored up ones to get out of there own way or up a hill!
