you do know that the CUCV is all Civy parts besides the starter and alternators.. Like ball joints wiper blades, u joints, seals ect ect ect.... if you would use the SEARCH function you would know.
yup just bleed it at the filter.... Just like if you change the fuel filter (might not be a bad ideal to change the filter.. lots of crud can get in the lines and bits from the new pump)
you need to bleed the fuel lines.. Get the TM and it will tell you how to do so step by step. If you just try starting it you might get air in the system and that wont harm anything, it just makes it that much harder to start and bleed out.
I never have had a Engine problem. I have replaced pumps, lines, water pumps.. but for 25+ years old it does not matter your going to be doing that in any engine.
you know the Humvee starter will fit and work on the CUCV right? you can get brand new ones off eBay for $100 bucks of so.
If you change it to 12V you CAN NOT use a 24V charger.
