50 year old M52 getting it ready to drive home

RE: New Pictures of work in progress The tank that I am working on is shorter by about 10 inches and both tanks were really badly gunked up and rusted so Jeff let me use the newer deuce tank and that seemed like a logial place to put it with the need to still move a trailer

    Cheap 1" Impact

I have a 3/4 inch and almost bought a 1 inch because of the long anvil it makes tirework a more direct drive. I have to use an extension on my 3/4 on dual wheels but I think like Bjorn and Rizzo I will keep the 3/4 smaller and easier to work with. Have a blessed Easter

I have a great book with all the WW II vehicles listed in it and one of the ones I would really love to see up close is the Mack NO 7 ton Cargo Artillery truck designed to haul the long tom 155 MM and the 240 MM cannons. The book says they could carry a full 5 tons with the 15 ton cannon in...

Xterra: Look in my album to see what I did to my M105 when I did not have a duece to pull it with. I can easily cut off what I welded on and it has hauled 8,000 pounds gross in our move from PA to MD it was full of tools. It tows very well with my Suburban or a pick up truck.

50 year old M52 getting it ready to drive home

Here are some more pictures from the day I worked on the truck. The more I work on it the better I feel about it not being an M 818 or an A1 or A2. The Red River Army Depot Rebuild is from 1971 and I am trying to find out if it included the engine.
