HA. well glad you found out what you needed to know. The closets GM dealer to me is a hour.... Nice guys just its a drive to order parts and drive back.. heck the closets big box auto parts is a hour too...there is only one stop light with in 30 miles.... man I out in the sticks.
If you use the bearings that come with the crank go for it. Just make sure you keep them in the SAME place. you mix them up there good as gone.
Should have called me first and saved a post ya noob.
I thought I was on "someones" ignore list.. guess not. So i will be waiting on HOW ITS A...
Good point..From the "factory" there should be a clear hose there running to under the front right leaf spring. But 20+ years most have been gone for some time.
:mrgreen:where is the fun in that?
ok.. you do all your repair work, or better yet take it to "your auto repair shop".
Take the little red wire off the injection pump..... I SAID THE RED WIRE! D*** kids
open the bleeder on top of the fuel filter ( black round knob)
Hit the starter till fuel...
Get the tm! (or a Chilton repair manual) my fingers are bleeding form typing the same answers. If I copy and paste GET THE TM before every post I think i will be ahead. .
See.... like I said this morning.. it not going to get any better folks. The good old days are long long gone.
Take a look at the TM's and you will see that the junction block gets it power from the first battery. You NEVER want to draw a amp or other high power toy off the junction block. It is rated for the factory specs.. not to power a amp also.
There are TWO alternators..... One charges the front battery the other the rear... It does not matter if you draw high amps off the 12V or the 24V. Its not a "deuce" charging system.
a 223 hole is about the size of small pencil. like 1/4 inch wide. That looks to be a 30 cal round.. 30-30 or 30-06 something solid core for sure. If it was a soft or expanding round it would be all sorts of blowed out.
let me think..... a 14K pound truck with cracks in the hub.... I would want to replace it. Having that said I don't think the cracks would have weakened anything but I still would not feel that great about it. I would get a good used one.
if you are blasting only one glow plug I will bet that the injector is bad and the spray pattern is messed and causing that cylinder to run hot or spraying right on the glow plug.
