Voltage regulator. You can take off the charging wire from a alternator and be ok.. the VOLTAGE REGULATOR controls the out put.. no load, no out put.... The gen set is not making full power all the time.... you seam very confused on a lot of things the week. Everything ok?

Just look at it this way... The engine was rated to use 30W engine oil. The engine operates up to 210* give or take. I am sure the oil get a tad warmer in spots (piston sprayers). I do not think that the transmission or the transfer case gets that warm by far.. If you are thinking the oil will...

you can make that 302 push 225 HP very ez. Take the head off have it shaved as much as they can do safe, replace the carb with a 2GE Rochester and have a 2.5 inch exhaust and good muffler. Push the timing to 8-10* BTDC and away you go. Thats it.

carquest, autozone, orileys, napa, any place that sells exhaust. Its the same as for a civy diesel blazer... and the kit for a small block gas engine fits also... guys for peat sake its the same as a civy. Its just not that hard.
