I know where there is a laundry trailer that may be available. For some reason I think I may be interested in it. I don't have any need to wash a bunch of clothes but thought I may could use some of the equipment. I know it's got a 10KW genset with it but I was wondering what other equipment is...
True. I've got a diesel D19 Allis tractor and it shares the exact same block as the gas model. Only difference in these two instances is that they are a block built for a diesel but use the same block for the gas engine, not the other way around.
It sounds like you're trying to pick up a ground through the temp sender. I think it will read 24v going from hot to the sender wire with a meter but you can't pull a load off it.
Be very, very careful if going this route. I used drum can explode and kill you if welded on.
There are ways to weld it safely but if you're not 100% sure how to do it, hire a professional.
Another option on making a spreader beam is to just use a piece of pipe or beam with attachment points on the ends with no attachment in the middle for the hoist hook. In this setup you use additional rigging to go from the beam to the hook, all the beam does is keep the rigging separated.

I know this is the case but my County Clerk won't do it. I've even carried a copy of the law to show them and called the state on them. Still wouldn't do it. I'm sure I could have carried if further with a lawyer or whatnot and got it done but the truck was on the verge of a parts truck anyway...
This is also a reminder to a the shade tree fabricators. This contraption was built by somebody and then sold to somebody else. During the investigation they tracked down the maker of every component and the guy that put it all together. I'll bet there are some law suits and possibly fines...
Well there is a law on the books in TN to transfer ownership on a vehicle over 25 years old with a bill of sale but good luck getting a county clerk to do it. I know I've tried it in Dickson County with no luck.
Did I read your location right? Charlotte, TN? If so, shoot me a PM. I'm sure I...
Only Nashville and surrounding counties have to do emissions testing. I live in Dickson county and we have no emissions testing so I can't help you much other than telling you to move to another county. :D
When I take a bolt out, if it's still good I but the original bolt back. If it's bad I usually go back with a course thread. More times than not when you remove a fine thread bolt on one of these old trucks, it will be bad.
From what it looks like to me, everybody that joined after 2006 or so is pretty accurate. Anybody before that may or may not be right. I think the site had problems sometime before '06 and some (if not all) people's numbers got messed up.
You are number 1874.
Move over somebody's username the hold the cursor over "send a PM". The address at the bottom of the screen has the member number at the end of the address.
Edit- I'm not sure it works on everybody. The reason I say this is because if Stretch and Westy are right about...
Most of them you see just hang down there with no bracing to the main frame. I assume this flimsy bar is legal because 99% of trailers out there have them.
