When you finish this you may have to change your screen name to Iron A**! I have done two 1,000 mile recoveries and have two more scheduled for the coming months. Do not push the engine and make sure that you have the basics tools and fluids with you. I found that some iPod ear buds under the...
Take a look at what Mike has done on his CUCV down in South Florida. It will make you feel much better about what you have ahead of you putting it back together. I am the same with my shop van, every time I take finish sanding and priming one group of pieces I feel the need to do more of them...
Well, my amazement in this truck continues. After winning with a low ball bid I just found out this morning that my EUC is final and I have a paid invoice. Auction win on Feb 12, and a paid invoice on Feb 26! It took almost 14 days just to get the EUC submitted with GL on my 109 last year...
I am asking $30 for the cots. I could use some ammo cans, the bigger the better, so we can work a trade if you want. We should print "Rally money" that way we can sell things and then use it to buy other stuff. I expect that anything I make selling will flow out just as quickly. I also have...

They do have hardtops for these. This picture is one that Alfa Heaven has/had for sale with larger tires. I like the look of these trucks and one day will have one.
Well, I put in a real lowball bid on a deuce with hard top out of Fort Sam and come to find out it held. Should make for a decent length recovery but at least it is flat land the whole way. With airfare out there and fuel back this truck should set me back less the $1K total.
Since you have both high and low headlight setups handy can you answer a question for me? Does it make a difference on how well they illuminate the road depending upon the location? I wonder if the government found that the higher position gave better illumination? The upturned intake is in...
Vinny,
If you need some of the wiring switches for you 109 box let me know as all of mine are not going back in as I put it back together. If I am not using it and you need it they are yours.
That is a great looking vehicle! Congratulations on another outstanding vehicle. It has been said though that I am a bit partial to orange or at least orange and blue.
At 42 we cover the plants, hide in our houses and break out the heavy coats. There was a very light frost on the car Tuesday morning and my kids came in the room yelling "it snowed, it snowed!!!!!"
