Carnac,
I was there from 87 - 90 with 1-16th Inf. 1st ID(F). Spent a lot of time at Graf and Hohenfels during those three years. I left just before things went bad in Kuwait.
RE: Jerry Rig of the Day
Alan,
If Wart Hog runs into any problems let me know. I have a contact with a man here in Tampa who is getting ready to make a swamp buggy using deuce axles and I am going to talk to him and see about some parts for mine and can ask about this for you.
David,
That is an excellent example of the M109. I am in the process of tearing down the inside of mine for a camping build up. One thing I found on the electrical wiring inside the van. Mine looked like it was in great shape until I went to move it around some and the insulation crumbled in...
DK,
That is a beautiful M109 you have! I had the same problem with my speedometer cable when I picked up my M109. Check to make sure that it is tightly connected at both ends. My problem turned out to be nothing more then a loose connection in under the vehicle.

RE: gmc truck
I sent him an email about the truck as I know of someone interested in an old GMC. He says that it needs a master cylinder and gas tank work. It is currently titled in NC and the lift gate and winch work. He is asking about $1,200 for the truck and recommended that it be...
I am heading to Warner Robbins this coming Wednesday for a pick up and look at a couple of lots for sale. I can take a look at other lots and take some additional pictures if anyone is interested in specific lots.
Just a little extra cable length would help a lot in my opinion. Of course I have an occassional problem with a touch of vertigo when I lie down flat with my feet above my head. Nothing like trying to work and stop the spinning at the same time.
Amazing work you are doing on a huge vehicle. Let's see the Overhauling crew do that build in seven days! Will you redo the stencils like the one show in pic 430?
